I've been looking for a good home gym, not sure what you guys suggest. I have an entire room so space is not an issue.

thank you

I would recommend bits of pieces because there are no "complete" home systems. They all make that claim, but there is always a flaw in one section or another.

power cage, bench, Oly weight set

Nothing can compares with a gym. Besides, I think too much willpower is necessary to train at home.

But, anyway, if you are determined to train at home I suggest that you buy an adjustable bench, bars, dumbbells and several disks. Do not forget to fit a bar into wall for hanging yourself.

and a med ball, plyo box, skipping rope, ab mat, big tire, sledge hammer, gymnastics rings

Bullshit! What kind of gym are you talking about?

Please, firemaf96, explain the sort of training you are thinking of.

Powertec Leverage Machines work well and are safe to use by yourself.

Those machines are rather expensive.

I repeat, we cannot suggest him about the type of gym to assemble if we do not know what kind of training he wants to practice.

Regards.

This times a million.

You'd be hard pressed to run out of training options with this setup, especially since you're the only one who'd be using it.

how about a gym with basic primal equipment that gives you options for a decent price. He was looking for suggestions...

Yep. You can complete basically all the essentials with this setup. If you have more funds after purchasing those staples, a pulley system with a high/low attachment wouldn't be a bad idea.

Jim Wendler from EliteFTS does consulting for putting together a gym. Poke around on their website for his phone number.

EDIT: Here's their email address: customerservice@elitefts.com.

I have a power cage, flat bench press, dumbbells 5-100lbs and a deadlift platform. You can also get tons of attachments for the power cage. I have a t-bar and dip bar attachment for mine. I also have a Precor elliptical and a few punching bags. I have pics in open chat somewhere.

Look at your training routine, see what equipments you need and purchase those.

Do a search on this forum for Home gyms you'll get a lot of neat information

I burned a lot of calories in this similar type home gym with one of my female friends.

I lost about 20 lbs a few years ago from fuckin' too much

i spend something like 4 bucks on some 2x4s that i lay across my safety bars, viola instant dip station :D

here's my cage

home gym

I would have......
POWER RACK
7FT OLYMPIC BAR WITH PLATES 25 kgs down to 2.5 kgs
ADJUSTIBLE BENCH

The power rack is a well thought of piece of kit and safe to use, the one I looked at had a chin bar built on to it and you could buy a dipping attachment so you could get a really great all round workout from one.
SQUATS
DIPS
DEADLIFTS
BENCH PRESS
MIL PRESS
CHINS/PULL UPS

personally think its the best SAFEST home gym to own specialy if you plan to train solo / lift heavy
or have a look on ebay there on there all the time
