What would cause you to cheat on your partner

I think my man is losing interest. In your opinion, or experience...what would cause you to cheat on someone? Also....what signs do you look for if you suspect it?

I don't find the need to cheat. If I lose interest I leave, not cheat. Men don't grow on me anyway. I either feel for them a lot and think highly of them or don't feel romantic at all. There is no in between for myself. I am single 99% of the time and am way too picky to have the opportunity to find 2 guys I like equally at once.

well, if I had kids, I would rather my kids be happy and have two parents that love them in separate homes than to put them through hell living with the two parents that fight all the time and doesn't show any love and affection towards each other...I would want my kids to know that is wasn't okay for that to happen and to live with it....just my opinion though.

Now that's the hard part. My parents separated when I was 9, so from a personal experiance from a kid...it hurts.
I stood single for many years before I got married and had kids. I made sure I found the right person.
I promised myself I would never ever put my kids thru that, I am doing my half and hopefully my spouse is too.

honestly, the reason men cheat is purely sexual. if put in certain situations, men will just act on impulse (say at a bar), even if they know they are in a relationship and could be hurting their loved one.

most of my buddies have at one time or another cheated on their girlfriends (*myself included). i think they just get "bored", if thats what you wanna call it. guys need that excitement, spontaniety etc., so when the relationship isnt working, they look somewhere else.

me personally, i cheated b/c i thought my gf was also. we had 0 sex life, and i hardly saw her, so i put 2+2 together, and went out and did it myself. turns out i was dead wrong, and she just had some underlying issues as to our bad sex life. She was hurt, but that was the beginning of the relationship, and turns out we went out for 2.5years after that.

as far as signs, guys will either be two ways.
they will just deny it, or they will act mad when you accuse them. that's what all my friends do, anyways.

Thanks flex...it does help.....and hotbody you have a good point about the kids. If it turns out to be true though...I will do everything in my power to get passed it, and keep ME..and my daughters happy. I guess the part that freaks me out the most is him having sex with others and me, and catching something from him....YUK!! He accuses me of cheating, and I would never cheat.

Personally, I have never cheated, and I will never cheat... If I were in your shoes, I would leave if I found out any cheating was going on. I know you have kids, so it makes it a lot harder, but since you said your independent then you should be ok. It's just your daughters I would be worried about.

Someone who blames you for cheating when you KNOW you are not is doing the deed himself ... absolutly without a doubt. Do you check guys out and flirt? If not than you have someone who is overly jealous and is just figuring you'll do what he himself is doing. He is placing you in check. Check 'em back. As far as kids go judge him on his parenting skills and dedication to his daughters and follow your heart. If he is a good dad he will be there for his babbies no matter what. I will not toot my own horn to prove a point but I will say that the single most rewarding thing I've done in my life was to raise my son. If he ruins that for himself he is not worthy of them anyway.
