I'm not positive or anything, but I think that's where all the fat is. Or atleast it makes sense. The eggs I have (I'd assume it's the same as any other egg) has 5g of fat in it. So two whole eggs would bring it to 10g of fat. Then the rest of the whites are used for the protien.
basically, 50% of the protein is in the yolk, but 100% of the fat and 100% of the cholesterol is in the yolk as well.
some ppl avoid eating the yolks in order to avoid the cholesterol, others to avoid the fat, and others to avoid the calories. it all depends on your goals. if you're trying to grow, eating the entire egg might be wise.
I forget whos sig this is from... But its a good one:
Homer: Hey! I saved your life! That egg sandwich could have killed you by cholesterol. Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
blood stream.
Yolks in moderation is fine...most guys eat 6-12 whites to get the protein. To get that much protein you would need a lot of yolks. 1-2 yolks a day is fine IMO.
