I'd rather pay some taxes then knowing that if i get some sort of disease id be paying way way way way way way way way way way way way way more then i ever did with taxes.

And If my taxes are going to health care for everyone, then fine. for the well being of my fellow man, why not

sure it has flaws, but i prefer our health care over an Americans any day

I don't mind helping to pay for health-care for hard-working normal people. I DO object to paying for healthcare for welfare whores that contribute nothing - I mean the type who are on welfare for years, not a month or two.

To be honest I also object to paying for healthcare for the ridiculously obese. You know full well what that triple decker bacon cheeseburger will do to your health, so don't fucking eat it if you can't deal with the consequences.

Yes this is true
In a sense they are taking advantage of the health care system and i can say I'm not a huge fan of paying for their medical care either - That is, if me paying for their medical care means they are going to make a difference in their life and get the neccessary help to cease their dangerous lifestyle.

Same with people on welfare... mind you, not EVERYONE on welfare has a cruel intention of taking full advantage of the sstem (note i said not everyone).

I'm sure i even took advantage of the health care system with my pap test, but atleast I've learned from it, right?

stop fuckin with the cannadian bacon for heaven sake.....as owner of this thread I shun you.

(the cannadian bacon being dontstop)

I'd rather pay for private insurance, which accomplishes the same thing, than give the most abusive, corrupt, and inefficient organization in the country more power over the healthcare system.

Just because the money runs through the hands of the government before reaching the provider doesn't make the procedure less expensive. Your STD test, which was necessary because of your voluntary promiscuity, was simply paid for by someone else.

Haha that'd be the day I'd go with you're insurance. You know, the insurance that will deny your claim if they can find something remotely negative on your medical history

I'm paying taxes too champ, I've probably paid for someone elses test as well. perhaps your should read my previous post, as to why i dont give a shit about paying the taxes.

I am sure you do pay taxes. That means that either 1.) your STD test cost you just as much as it would an American, 2.) yours actually cost more, when you factor in the government inefficiency, or 3.) if it cost you less, its because other people were paying part of it, i.e. your STD test, necessitated by your voluntary promiscuity, was financed by others.

As I said before, just because the money runs through a government middleman doesn't make the health care less expensive.

Look around online. Lots of places will make it affordable due to public and private funding, like planned parenthood

well I'm gettin it from the military in a routine check b4 out processing in 6 days anyhow

When I get tested I go to planned parenthood. I paid something like $85 for all the testing they offered. The only thing they didn't do was check for herpes since I Have never had an outbreak . They said without having an outbreak you cannot be tested for it. Anyways finding out I was 100% OK was well worth the $85. They have a 10 minute HIV test so you can leave there knowing if you have "it".

So be safe in the future. Realize that not everyone is honest.

As for Canada's healthcare vs USA. There is a plus and minus to either. The tax is much higher in Canada. I pay like $130/mo for my Blue Cross Blue Sheild. It seems to cover anything I have thrown at it. I have had MRI's same day the doc ordered them. I have NEVER had to wait in a line for anything. The ONLY downside I see is we do not have a stable insurance system since the coverages are always getting worse and more expensive each year. Canada is free for all. Ok another downside is the fry guy at McDonalds cannot afford to have coverage, yet if he lived in Canada they would be taken care of. Poor people on public aid here get more benefits then the guy working at McDonalds trying to make it in life. That to me is fucked up....the rapist in prison on a life sentence is getting better care than the guy working at McDonalds trying to make it and support him and his/her family. Ok I'm done ranting.
