got one at my gym only the leg part moves.
it only goes to 505 lbs is why i ask. too easy

That is funny, I'm trying to remember which kind is at my gym. I can't fucking remember and usually use it once a week.

The machine in the above pic called a Leg Sled. Hack squat is more towards vertical.

Leg sled, horizontal hack squat, horizontal squat machine, call it what you want. It's a piece of crap, er sorry, I'm getting biased again...
 
It's to keep the newbies busy and out of the squat rack while you get your leg workout done.

We used them in college for football like we would push off kinda like your jumpingour feet would leave the foot thing kinda hard to explain
