is it best to stagger your daily calorie consumption throughout the week (keeping the weekly average at 10-12 times your weight), or is it better to eat the same total every day? I seem to have a slow metabolism, I know a drop in metabolic rate is inevitable, but what is the best approach to keeping it running at its best while cutting? :hmmm:
 
Read the sticky that Jodi posted about cutting and then the refeed one. I say keep it at the same level every day and allow yourself one "cheat day" every other week. Helps keep you from going crazy.

Firstly - the '10 to 12' times your weight rule is crap. Don't follow it.

But yes - it is better to stagger/cycle your calories (having lower and higher days) and it does help prevent metabolic slow down associated with dieting.

However, it is only really needed when you get to a pretty good degree of leanness (low BF%) or if you are doing a special diet rotation (which has very low calorie days). For most people a simple linear diet is fine for weight loss.

currently, upstate outside of Albany. usually, Bronxville, just outside the City.
 
I have an internship in Albany for the summer. I go to school in Bronxville, but next year I'm headed to Oxford!

Eat 6 meals a day.
Eat spicy foods.
Do some Cardio.

Take Caffeine or Greent Tea supplements.
