I heard that sometimes its better to weightlift in the morning because it burns more calories through out the day? But I also have heard that its best just to train whenever it is convenient to you. If someone has an answer to this... please help me.

Thank you.

i train when its convienent for me. i dont know the science behind it.

Hey man,
Kind of depends on your goals... are you trying to lose fat or gain muscle?

Ok. From what I've read, doing your cardio in the morning will burn fat because your body does not have any carbohydrates to work with. Then I would lift later in the day. Or, you could lift later in the day, and do your cardio right after that. I wouldn't reccomend lifting weights in the morning because when I do, I don't have any power.

I was recently doing a low carb diet, and I felt burned out whether I was lifting or doing cardio. But when I added in more carbs, started working out in the afternoon, and doing cardio afterwards I lost more fat! Whether you're doing cardio in the morning or after lifting, I would still reccomend lifting weights later in the day so you have food on your stomach.

By the way, if you like this post, I could use some rep.

I usually train in the early am, because that is what my schedule dictates. My body is probably strongest in the afternoon, but the gym is packed around then. I like the peace and quiet om the early morning, plus my wife likes the early am.

Any benefit is going to be so minimal its not worth the worry. Train when you will be the most focused on the training. For me, it varies day to day.

Personally I like to train at nights. I hit the iron about 7 pm or so. Train for two hrs. I get a good night sleep and my body has time to recoup. On the weekends I hit the gym twice a day. morning and then at night.
