where can i find a good % body fat calculator?

http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/bfb

If you google, you will find several on line

However, if you are serious about tracking your bodyfat, I would recommend you get an Accumeasure body fat caliper. It is a one site body fat caliper, taken on the right side of the body just above the iliac crest of the hip.

It will work till you get to less than about 13 % if you are a woman, and sorry can't remember if you are a man.

They are about 10 quid in the UK, and as the name suggests (with a bit of practice) quite accurate.

If you are serious about getting your bodyfat tested, check a water emersion test.

Using the link posted - mine came out 15 to 16.3%. Seems about right.

You can buy these calipers where?

Reminds me, a couple years ago - I saw some typical looking bathroom scales advertised that "calibrated" your BF% along with your total eight. Haven't seen them lately.

How the heck was that supposed to work?

well they work for the average person-but when you carry more muscle on your frame, thats where it gets screwed up. When I was down to 4% BF last year at my last show, I had a measurement taken with calipers. When I got ont the BF scale, it was like 12%. I scoffed and gave the scale to my cousin.

Yeah, Bodyfat scales are pathetic. I don't know how they market those rubbish products and say it's so accurate.

I have calipers, and the site Tatyana listed, works out almost the same. Most bodyfat calculator sites just use the pathetic BMI formula (based on height and overall weight). This one uses waist size at navel, waist size at smallest part, hips at largest point, neck size, and overall weight.

My guess is... after you've measured your BF a few times (if not over 10-12%) - you can accurately guess the levels (understanding your metabolism) from that point on.

It gets pretty tight from there.
