As a laymen, I don't see ground troops going in. Not possible.

I see smart bombs, laser guided missiles and an air operation.


Taking out Ahmadinajad might also be possible (not sure about this, though). Repurcussions.

There's not point to ground troops. I also doubt the US would take out Iran's President. If for no other reason than the US has a law preventing itself from assassinating people (you can thank Jimmy Carter for that). But anything that has to do with nuclear technology won't make it.

I do not like to say this but I see no other alternative REALLY!

War is HELL and people do get killed - even the innocent.

There is no real way out of this mess in the Middle East BECAUSE their religion and their religious beliefs are at the heart of the problem AND OUR NEED FOR OIL.

The best solution and the only one I see that will save lives, money, time, etc. is to drop a lot of big ones over the ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST. There has NEVER been peace in that region of the world and the only way to stop all this BS is to SILENCE the WHOLE REGION once and for all. Going by it the way we have been is only going to destroy us financially and our Men will be there forever. It is worse than Vietnam.

It IS TIME to get it OVER once and for all!!! FAST AND COMPLETE AND TOTAL!!! God HIMSELF would NEVER have a damn thing to do with all this BULLSHIT in the Middle East!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as a side note: that system is called the Phaylanx (sp?). It's mounted on large ships and is used for self defense of the ship. It can completely obliterrate an incoming missle before it has a chance to do any damage. It's not used on people. But DAMN, I like your thinking. It sure sounds fun.
