which day for deadlifts?

well, im basically doing a split that goes
mon-upper body
tues-lower body
wed-cardio
thurs-upper
fri-lower
probably not the best and I intend on changing it soon, but i was wondering which day would deadlift fit into best

Most everyone here is going to say a muscle group a day...not upper one day and lower the next. Check some of the other posts. There is a lot about this subject...or wait a bit and I am sure you will get plenty of opinions in here. :)

Actually...it would depend on how long he's been training.

The can be done on either leg day or back...guess it depends on what type you're doing. w/ your split I'd say put them on friday...and then you have the weekend to recover before doing back.
 
I agree with w8's comment...if you do deadlifts and then try to do legs the next day....trust me...won't be pretty....especially if you plan on doing squats. Likewise if you train back the next day...well...same thing....your lower back will likely ache.
 
Because I go real heavy I do the once every other week and go heavy! So I do it on a 7th Day by itself along with cardio.
 
i do them on back day (either regular deadlifts, or sumo deadlifts), right before seated good mornings.
 
I do regular deads on back day to, I use a belt doing SLDL for leg day.
