Ok iv been lifting with alot of weight less reps for a while and you know it was ok and all and the burn from it was ok .But the other day i tried less weight more reps and it worked my muscles more intensley. But then iv herd that more weight less reps will build muscles better. So my question is ,which is better less weight more reps, more weight less reps to bulk and tone?

Variety! :D

This is a catch-all word too...can mean, sets, reps, w8, exercises, and mutliple techniques.

While we always try to include some heavy lifts in most W/O's, it doesn't take much.....maybe one exercise, we then employ techniques such as Supersetting, Dropsets, Trisets and GIANT sets........ they all can work wonders...

But still...it's really the VARIETY....that helps with the Stress/Adaption function of lifting!

Check out this link. It contains explanations of all the different work-out techniques - you may it useful! :thumb:

Heavier, less reps will build strength and bulk
Less, more reps will build endurance

... right?

Something like that yes, you will find women using high reps, or many people use high reps for legs. The "burn" has little to do with building large muscles, I'm sure you could find plenty of burn running a marathon, or lifting pink dumbells for 500 reps.

If you go too low in reps, you will largely be building strength. Many of the larger bodybuilders used 6-8 reps when going for mass.
