Initially I would think the bodybuilder. But then I start to think the 1st place prize for most competitions is like what 25 grand? I know the muscletech deal is probably pretty lucrative, but idk. What do you guys think?

i mean he's got a lot of endorsement deals. I've seen Toney Freeman's house. Top level pro bodybuilders don't do too bad for themselves.

some dont but i dont beleive any pro bodybuilder is making close to a starting quarterback, have u seen the kai green documnetary? Hes not jay cutler but just goes to show not all of them see the wealth

no I haven't seen any of the documentaries of the new pros. I wanted to get the Phil Heath one. I truly claim ignorance as to the lifestyle of these pros. I guess I just assumed they were millionaires. That's definately interesting though. Makes me kind of respect the sport even more.

they make good money im sure. but no, no where near pro sports (the big 4 sports) money

Pro footballers make shit tons of money. No comparison. What the bodybuilder makes per year is chump change to the QB.

no contest. this the right answer

Jay the bodybuilder probably makes around $1 million/year, I am sure Jay the QB makes a lot more, however Jay the BB is cool, Jay the QB is a complete dickhead. I have never seen a more hated QB in Denver than Jay.

Chicago Jay Cutler signed in 09' for 49 million and change for 5 years. 20 million guaranteed money and 7 million signing bonus. After the first 2 years of contract he will make around 7 million a year. Plus league bonuses for playoff appearances and playoff wins. Not bad for the most hated QB in the league

not bad at all, unfortunately no matter how much money he has he will always be a dickhead, and he really is not that great of a QB IMO, I was so happy when he left, even his team members didn't like him.

As much as I hate jay cutler right for bailing because of a strain, I saw a story yesterday about some poll in Denver had 79% of people rooting for the Bears/Cutler.

Seriously... In Chicago where we watched Jordan practically collapse from the flu into Scottie Pippens arms after having a great game, having our "star" qb sit out the second half of a championship game because of a strain is sickening.

So you are a Broncos fan is what you are sayin Prince??

That's a nice paycheck

Doctors are saying the strain is the same as a tear. I have no opinion on the matter but If I were in that position I think the doctors would have to hold me down to keep me off the field. You never know when you will have a chance to play on that big of a stage again. It sucks for the city and the fans for sure.

Cmon guys....Culter got pulled b/c of an "injury".

talk about saving face

The football player makes more, but the body builder deserves more in my opinion. Jay the bodybuilder is still not too bad off though. Around a million a year is not bad for anybody.

I always love to see non football players say Jay cutler sucks or he should of played you people have no clue what happen to him or how bad the injury was. You all know if it was that bad he couldnt of played and if he could he would of. What is wrong with people. As for him being hated why because he does put up good numbers and has 5 years in the league and has one of the best arms in the league. You QB coach potatos need to know what football players go through before you run off at the mouth and bad mouth a player. Also if you do watch any of the after news they did shoot up the knee and it didnt help. I want somoene here pull out there back real bad and cant walk and go do a back work out and dead lifts and let me know how it went

Yeah I've never liked the QB Jay Cutler. I thought it was cool when I first learned he had diabetes. The fact that he still made it to that level of athletics is admirable IMO, but yeah he is a complete douchebag. Philip Rivers (who definately hates Jay Cutler) played several years back in the AFC championship on a torn ACL. I'm in no position to judge another man's pain threshhold or thought process (he could have been jeapordizing next year by playing and then having to have surgery or something), but I think everyone in the nation is in agreement that if you're making that kind of cash and that close to the Super Bowl, you take a shot of cortisone, pop a handful of percocets, and get the fuck on the field.

I second this. He is the biggest douche in the NFL. As I stated in another thread. He really is.

bodybuilding is still considered more of a recreational sport to the masses while professional sports such as the NFL, NBA, NHL, etc. are all big businesses now, they are all billion dollar industries. The total salary of the NFL for 2009 was like 40% of the GDP of Haiti. many still consider is as just another form of exercise. personally I think it's one of the most complex sports as an individual can spend an entire lifetime in the sport and never really make any substantial gains.

most of my friends from college that went pro are out now but one of them Rob Davis from the Packers is in management now but I know in 2008 he was pulling in around 800k as a long distance snapper with 10 + years in the NFL.

another one Jerry Ostroski when I got of of the Navy in '94 there were paying him like $300k/year just to ride the pine on the Bills then. a couple of years later he was pulling in 2.5-3M with salary and bonuses.

I'd have to agree with this years ago, and I mean years, I had a room mate who's brother in law was a quarterback for the Colts. The guy was pulling in around half a million a year on the injury list.

In an unrelated matter, I thought you signature was funny. I was driving up to Kansas City the other day in the middle of rural Missouri and some farmer had a big nice painting sign in his yard for everyone to see as they drove by. It said "Watch Glen Beck". I thought to myself, I now am in hell.
