I tend to read Muscle and Fitness every month. Where do you guys turn for info everymonth? Besides this message board... :flex:

Sorry bud. The only place I go for info is here.....the gym and internet.

Muscle & Fitness is crap.
The only one I have ever liked is Planet muscle.

I quite buying magazines a LONG time ago. waste of money. the info was simply basics.. if you want to call it that. full of endless advertisments. I can find everything Ineed right here at my fingertips and save the mag money for some cans of tuna! :D

If you want a quality magazine then look out for Muscular Development.

It doesn't mess around and gives you all of the facts, no messing around. Great, in depth articles, advice from the pros and a little humour thrown in for good measure. What more could you ask for? Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Planet Muscle is garbage. They keep pushing the same dumbass products. MD is king. Except I hate how many Musletech ads they have.

I agree, but Muscular Development has has a lot more info than the typical mags, many little "scientific excerpts".

Beyond that, I like to read some of gossip in the bodybuilding world, look at the pics, contest coverage, etc.

I think I'm gonna like this guy

When the question emerges, "Which magazine do you prefer?"
Aren't you supposed to say, "Iron Magazine"
Just my thinking....

The only thing is, I could never find Iron Magazine here in California. Hell, I looked at 7/11's, grocery stores, Barnes and Noble, and even Fry's Electronics... Not a single issue. I had wanted to look at GoPros program, but no luck. I guess it is only distributed in certain areas, mine excluded.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
As you all have noticed...most of the magazines are one big advertisement...or just pics of contests and stuff. The articles on training never really change and most of the routines and diets are aimed at guys on lots of juice.

I flip through them at the store but rarely buy them anymore...I look at them as comic books for adults who like lifting weights....fun to thumb through but nothing of substance to read.

You can predict what articles are gonna come out when....as it gets warmer its the ab articles and fat loss...as it gets colder its the bulk up articles....around christmas it is the "how not to get fat during the holidays" article.....same shit every damn year!....save your money!

you're joking, right?

Actually Prince, No.

Are you saying that this forum is the only representation of Iron Magazine? I was just under the impression that both existed. If this is it, then go ahead.... Laugh at me and throw a tomato at me too

I figured with the word "MAGAZINE", that one existed. I actually never seen "Iron Magazine" so I don't know.

Oh yeah, I forgot this was a magazine message board.

Thanks for the replies! I'm gonna check out MD.

Have you ever picked up a GQ? HOLY SHIT! The first (literally) 30 pages are ads. You're a third of the way into the magazine before you come to the table of contents.

I don't read any bodybuilding mags because I'm not really into pro bodybuilding. I get all the fitness advice I need from this website. I do read Men's Health because I find it entertaining. I also read Mountain Bike Action.

I am a magazine freak-- I love reading them--but get Way more info from the people on this website.
However I just can't stop buying them--maybe b/c it gives me motivation- plus I'm alone every night.

I have a subscription to Muscle & Fitness for her
I buy everymonth:
Glamour
Cosmo
Energy
US WEEKLY
SELF
And Oxygen occasionaly

Ironman Magazine
Flex
MD
GQ
Men's Health
Men's Fitness

I enjoy them all... I don't take the articles as fact, but I like to see all the top BB'ers in the articles and adds and what not... I'm a fan of the sport... so whether the magazine makes me bigger or not, i still enjoy seeing the top people of the sport doing their thing, I also like to see teh contest coverage...

That is disgusting :finger:

Actually I flipped it on Oprah today and found it was quite interesting. She had a doctor on that showed what your human body parts look like when they are abused. They showed a cancer lung like Prince referred to above as well as what gull stones looked like, human fat, and what your joints would look like after damaged from an overweight body. I'll tell you it really makes a person think before abusing their bodies like that.

But I will retract what I said earlier, Oprah can have some interesting guests on her show. It definately can be educational.

I like reading MUSCULAR DEVELOPMENT, MUSCLEMAG INTERNATIONAL, IRONMAN, NATURAL BODYBUILDING, MEN'S HEALTH. Each has a lot to offer and are good magazines. Take Care, John H.

besides the internet I odn;t mind getting musclar develpment every now and again and ironman is also pretty good (I really like the bill starr articles). These magazines tend to have a bit more scince to them.

I also like the quartley jounrl form the NSCA if I can get my hands on it as well as the quarterly strength/power training magazine called MILO, which is avaliable at ironmind.com

Other than that I just try and read books.

I picked up a MD yesterday, that mag is huge. I think it was seven bucks, too. Loads of info, though.
