I owe the majority of my trap growth to genetics, I only do two excercises approximatley every other week, BB shrugs and DB shrugs both are with very heavy weight (I consider it heavy anyhow lol) BB shrugs I do a couple of warm up sets and then head straight up to 405 pounds, usually bang out two sets at that weight for 15 then 12 reps. DB shrugs I start at the 150's (Biggest dumbells in my gym) and do three to four sets of those at about 15 reps each set. I dunno I recomend just sticking with it and you'll get there, watch the back with the heavy shrugs though...
