X2.... Drug addiction destroys lives. If it wasn't for the addiction to illegal drugs the number of incarcerated people in this country would be a fraction of what it is now.

its just beyond evil that your body and your brain are convinced that you love and need (like the air you breathe or even more than food) this thing that is killing you
but of course it is the victims fault for crossing that line in the first place
Everyone has different strengths. Hers clearly was not one to fight off the drugs and abusive people in her life. She did have a powerful voice and stage presence weather you liked her singing or not.
Yes it is sad. It is always sad when someone dies. If not for the loss of that person, for the family and friends they leave behind. Her children will hurt over this for who knows how long. Children are never to blame for what the parents that bring them into the world are or do. They will damn well suffer for it though.

Although the cause of death is unknown, it is increasingly looking like Whitney may have fallen asleep or lapsed into unconsciousness in the bathtub and drowned.
Law enforcement sources tell us, Beverly Hills cops retrieved approximately a half dozen pill bottles from Whitney's room ... including Xanax. No illicit drugs were found.
Whitney had been drinking the night before and authorities believe a combination of Xanax and alcohol could have fatally sedated her -- although our sources say it is simply too early to draw any firm conclusions.

Xanax and alcohol will knock you out then you just slump down and die... Similar to Jim Morrison's death...
when you combine prescription meds that have CNS depressing effects with alcohol (another CNS depressant) there is a synergistic effect. the area of the brain that controls respiration reduces neural output and the signal that instructs the nerves that control the muscles in the chest cavity to inflate the lungs, etc. is either insufficient or stops completely.

my mom is 73 and she likes to do the (1) cocktail thing at night while she reads the paper. I keep telling her she needs to give the KGB a try and she'll never touch another drop of alcohol again. she was in Amsterdam the other month and she chickening out.
