It is the same thing.
This is what happened, he didnt like the way he looked in the mirror then he went to the balance to justify what he saw before. People dont freak out by numbers, the pounds or kilograms are only there to reassure that something is wrong or do you think really fat people would gain self-confidence if they lived in outer space?

No, it isn't the same thing. Getting worried about the weight is different. Weight can flucuate drastically depending on the type of foods and amounts you have injested as well as fluid intake. Worrying about the scale is meaningless and is not the indicator that something is wrong. If it were, judging by the BMI I would be obese. However, BF% is the best indicator as far as were you are. Fat free mass is independant of weight.

I think you love your imaginary friend too much, there are tons of jesus owned pictures. TONS!

Scales became personifications of the way you look. The instant a person see that number going in the direction he doesnt want it to go, his self-image is affected. It maybe be unconscious but the brain connects that number to the way you look, thus making the worrying about the number on the scale and the worrying about what is reflected in the mirror, pretty much the same thing. Not for you though, since you are educated on diet but this is true to most people that dont have that kind of knowledge.

Do you agree now?

yes, I agree and that was the very thing I was getting at with my post. Don't worry about the scale. True, I guess you could say I am educated about diet but the whole point of coming here is to get educated about diet. Some of these very people that freak out about things like this are the very people that day after day after day ask the same questions and ask for help about the same things. At some point you need to learn, no? At some point, if no one else is going to say it then I will freak the fuck out and rip into someone. Not trying to be mean or anything but that is just my personality. I grew up in a house were my father was always breaking my chops and others chops in the same manner. I do the exact same type of things with my clients and all my friend that train with me do the exact same things to me. It is my personality. I am sorry.

My bad.

Just because there is "TONS" of JUNK floating around like that, doesn't mean people have to use it and endorse the work of the sickos that thought it up.

The whole thing about this thread is that I didnt like so much the way you answered it, even though you are right, they do need to learn but getting together the frustration that you and other members have for newbies and their repetitive questions and then releasing it in only this thread starter was not that nice. But dont let this post fool you into thinking that I am feeling self-righteous, saying that what you did was wrong is kind of therapeutic to me because I probably did something similar a few times as well. Although I changed my "you are stupid" statements to "people are stupid" statements, so it is more general and random. :p

Everytime I get mean to a newbie you will link this thread, wont you? God damn it.

No but vieope...do you even like work out? And for the last time...what the hell is up with the purple bunny shit? It's so gayish!

How many hours of your life have you wasted looking for purple bunny pics on the internet? You could be using that time for something more useful...masturbation maybe? You know, something to help in the advancement of mankind.

no, I could care less.

also, i am not as resourceful as you finding rare posts from years prior. ;) (I still want to know how the f^ck you do that?)

Better watch out, the person you are asking might blow up at you!

No really, thanks....I don't know what got into me, that is very unusual of me, as I usually go by BF alone....oh well, scales gone now...who cares?

Ok, all I caloried-up tonite, at about 10 beers above maintenance.

When I weighed myself prior to the load, I weighed in at 208.2lbs.
After the load, I weighed in at 208lbs!

I don't understand can anyone explain it. LOL

Anybody?

Oh it is nothing amazing. It goes like this, somebody say something, I remember partially about an old post this person made then I go to advanced search and put the name of the poster and some words this person said. For example, if you kept disagreeing with me, I was ready to say that once we were debating about strength and after you explained it to me I had to agree with you. Thus making the point that agreeing is nice.

So I would think of some words you said, like "geneticly large structure" or when I said "good point."

I search it then I link it.
