ok a couple of weeks ago.. i went early in the morning.. drank glass of water.. went to the gym.. (hadnt worked out for a long time or did any exercises) I started to lift weights.. then I felt all exhausted and felt like i was gonna faint.. i kept using the machines.. then i felt like i was gonna puke.. i went go to lie down and went home.. this has happened to me 3 times in the past.. i think its because im not in shape.. today before I went i drank 2 glasses of water.. and brought a gatorade to the gym.. I didnt feel sick anymore.. but that was because of all the water i drank.. why is this? my friend doesnt need any water and hes fine.. well obviously cuz hes healthier...

Gatorade is not just water, it has sugars in it. When your blood sugar gets low you will feel ill, it can also do this when it is very high.

Proper diet will help greatly in that area, but I still like Gatorade on leg day.

Your friend is either luckier with genetics, has a better diet, or perhaps is not working as hard.

It's probably dehydration. Particularly, if you exercise in the morning. While you sleep, your body loses water through evaporation. This needs to replaced. Check out this site: www.watercure.com

what are you eating before you go to the gym ?

I barely ever used to drink water. Now, I drink about a gallon a day. I feel so much better now, just all around. Working out or not, keeping yourself hydrated is a big part of being healthy and feeling good. Now, I'm mad I went so long dehydrated!

On the other hand, be prepared to have to take a leak a little more often

Food for Fuel

It's obvious you need to fuel up the old gas tank before you go doing Hercules at the gym. Anyone who eats ever 2-4 hours knows if you don't eat when your body is used to eating your blood sugar drops and here comes the dizzy spells, fatigue and stomache pains. Not eating is the worst thing for your body. Embrace food... it's your friend :thumb:

I drink a little over 2 gallons of water a day and eat lots of fiber. Needless to say, an engine performs better when there isn't a lot of crap clogging everything up, so diet is indeed essential. Examine it and I'd bet dollars to donuts you'll stop having these episodes.

Well that could depend on how much food you eat b4 training as well.

Plus your body is %70 water & you need water to function properly as it helps transport all the nutrients you intake throughout the day & if you're dehydrated, you won't be feeling up to par either.
