Yes, nexplanon, just like all other forms of hormonal birth control can cause weight gain. What about this?

Hi, I would be happy to talk you through your birth control options so we can find something that seems right for you. Also, have you had your thyroid checked? While it certainly is possible that hormonal birth control can cause weight gain what you are describing is not a common experience (though not impossible with!) An abnormal thyroid can also cause unexplained weight gain and should be ruled out.
