Words you see mispelled or used incorrectly.

you don't see this on forums too much, but I hear it alot:

"Did yous (talking to 2 people) miss the bus?"

"Yous" is not plural for "you", lol.
"you" can be plural or singular.

it's supposed to be "Did you two miss the bus?"
"youse" (its proper spelling), is derived from the Tri-State area slang language. Usually utilized by an overbearing uneducated race called "Guidos", it entails two people being spoken to directly.

For example, "What the fuck is wrong witch youse?!"

Isn't youse short for "you guys" like yall is short for "you all?"

it is supposed to be just you (you can be plural or singular), because it sounds weird to some people when they say you in a plural statement, they try and make it plural when it already is, so they add an S to it.

We had a Senior Manager that would say "physical year" instead of "fiscal year" and you could often notice clients grinning about it but she NEVER ONCE said "fiscal year." I am sure someone, somewhere had to say "hey, it's FISCAL year, not physical year!"

Did you even think that, for her, it was "physical year" and that's why she's a Senior Manager?

i say youse :(

"Your" when it should be "you're", I see that so fucking much.

Personally, i try to write coherently but i can't be bothered with overthinking my grammar on an internet forum. i do enough of that shit for school, i just want my posts to be readable.
Hey Yanick. What up?

I agree about overthinking grammar on a forum that is supposed to be for fun. Misspelled words drive me nuts though.

I just realized in the title of this thread, the word 'misspelled' is misspelled. Sort of funny when you think about it :)

who and whom - who is nomitive and whom is objective
I and me - I is nomitive and me is objective
continually and continuous - continually has breaks or pauses where continuous does not.

When you combine my rampant illness, less than five hours of crappy sleep, and that sentence...well...I'd swear I just mentally threw up. :)

well my job is done here.

 Dante pointed that out in his first post on here. He said yesterday he wondered if anyone would catch that or if it was done that way on purpose.

I misspell pretty much every word in the english language. I hate spelling.

Good call!

I think I fucked it up cuz its MISS + SPELL. I do occasionally fuck that up with prefixes or suffixes that have similiar endings and beginnings.

Then again, maybe it was my intention? Like a perosn who posts up a sign upside down to invoke better attention..

When you're on the Internet, there are only two ways to judge what another person is like: by what they say and how they say it.
Yeah, life is black and white. (Maybe it's just white?)

P-funk doesn't care about punctuation, because it's irrelevant. Is p-funk stupid? Actually, most people don't bother with accents, because it's a pain when using a keyboard.

Some people are not english. So simply because they have not mastered the english language yet, they're stupid?

Some people actually abuse your naivity and use fancy words for everything, so that they look smart. Politics, anyone?

One could hope.

His posts are never hard to read. And, given what he's said, I don't care if he writes like kenwood.

Wrong. I've nothing but respect for those that try to learn another language. My problem is with native English speakers who type like they were doing it during a seizure.

What are you trying to say?

if i had to slow my thoughts down to the speed i can type at i'd go nuts. i'd rather talk to someone completely illiterate that has heart and soul than some scholar with a stick up their ass any day too.
