The same principles apply whether you have 5% or 25% bodyfat.

For core strength however, train things that build stability rather than things that have little to no functional application like crunches (when do you EVER want your core to contract like that?).

Things like planks, side planks, birddogs, supermans, farmers walks are good too, and theyll train your grip at the same time.

+ 1

I also have noticed the most development of core strength by doing squats, deadlifts, standing overhead press, chin ups and pull ups

One time I trained my core the day before doing squats, and the lack of full core recovery resulted in poor squat form and I had to lower the weight.
If you are squatting and deadlifting heavy enough, minimal to no core strength is required unless you are are past the novice stage of body building

pull ups? Hmmm...
Yea, I found this out first hand, I did pull ups and my stomach was in a lot of pain (not bad pain). Good enough to make me do another 2 sets :-)

Suitcase Style Deadlifts.... all the way

best for core strength and stability and shreds ur entire body the day after. Great exercise!

Turkish Getups, Planks, Cradles, Knees to elbows, hyper extensions, just to name a few....

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
What are some of these exercise I can do in the comfort of my own home?

I can do Planks, supermans, probably farmer walks...what else?

Let's clarify. Are you actually asking about core strength, or are you asking about definition in your midsection? They are two very different things.

well for now, strength but if u can tell me definition ones for future reference then that would be cool :D just i dont have very much muscle there right now so i'd like to get some muscle there for a month or 2 before i try to get the actual 6 pack

Definition is more about diet than anything. As far as core strength.....heavy powerlifters have some of the strongest cores in the world, even though you cannot see their abs.
