Hey fellas summer's around the corner and i wanted to start cutting. this will be my first time doing so. Can someone please help me i.e. post their or an effective cuts workout (exercise, sets, reps, weights etc). I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. If you know of a thread containing information I am looking for could you kindly provide me the link. Thanks in advance.

for cuts ya can do high reps, that one of the reasons ronnie coleman looks so different then the rest, apart for the main mans genetics. I say 12-15 reps

that is a myth, getting cut comes from DIET, not high reps.

btw, Ronnie does not do high reps, 5 weeks out from the Olympia he was squatting 800+ pounds for 5 reps.

I am sure that Ronnie uses a multitude of low/medium/high reps in his work-outs just as most bodybuilders do.

My point is/was that high reps have absolutely nothing to do with getting cut.

yeah yeah i know what ya saying but from what i do i find high reps make my muscle look more fulla muscle and always pumped with hanging muscle bellies if ya know what i mean, not just solid and hard all tha time

I think you mean that you get more pumped from high reps.

For anyone else that reads this getting lean/cut comes from a proper cutting diet, even when preparing for a show you still use heavy weights, high reps do not get you more cut. That does not mean high reps do not have their place in a work-out, just know that they have no effect on leanness.

"look" is the key word here. How big your muscles are and how big they look are two different things. Creatine makes you look bigger and adds to your overall body weight, but it's mostly water. That muscle pump you refer to will go away, but if your body fat is low from dieting, then your muscles will be more noticeable pumped or not.

Yes, if your diet is in order. Cardio wont do much for you if you are eating at McDonalds everyday.

yep. and when you think about it why would they?

I guess the gist of all this is for cuts I have to be on a diet very low in fats and carbs and high on proteins. for workouts...high reps + cardio...sounds rite?

So those 2 rep squats and those 2 rep deadlifts make him look so different? Interesting.

You could take up circuit training to substitute for cardio, but muscle does not catabolize fat stores for energy all by its lonesome. You need to get your diet down for size or cuts, for fat gains or fat loss, its all diet.

The only thing high reps will do is keep the heart rate elevated, and cause hypertrophy of the slow twitch fibers making you weaker but improving your endurance.

Is there any truth in "lower reps for big muscles and higer reps for smaller ones" as regards hyperthrophy?
