Workout frequency?

What works better for you, training each body part for say 20-30 minutes twice a week or once a week for 45-60 minutes? I have always switched up my routine, exercises, rest period, etc. but never just worked out each part once per week. Alot of what I have been reading lately guys say they workout hard, but only once a week. Thanks for your opinions.

Whatever split that allows you to have as much or more rest days than workout days in a week is a good start. Trying not to think in terms of bodyparts, instead thinking about movement patterns like push/pull and vertical/horizontal is also a great step towards better workout programs.
