Hey everyone,

What music (songs/artists/styles) do you listen to while working out to get you "pumped up"?

Personally, I like heavy rock/metal (ie Pantera) or lil' jon/ying yang twins style....anything loud and angry works.

So what pumps you up?

what a unique question. there are already at least 4 other threads just like it.

I have the new single, hypnotize. It is more methodical sounding then the last single, so no, its not as hardcore.

I know, but I want to know about the album!

Honestly, I can listen to anything from folk to death metal. It doesn't have to be fast paced and hardcore to get me going. Instead of getting angry and wild, calmer more serene music makes my concentration white hot. It puts me in a meditative state.

When I used to work out at home, my brother had a room in the basement and I worked out in the room next to his. If he had friends over and they saw me working out, they would be thoroughly confused by my musical selection of Donovan, T-Rex, They Might Be Giants, or some such goofiness.

Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth, Disturbed, basically anything that makes you want to break shit or punch someone. Helps me think of people that piss me off, and that's what pushes me harder.

waooo , u all are metals.
i like to listen electronic music.
fell the bits.

Just because I listen to "calm and serene" music doesn't mean I listen to crap. Haha.

Upbeat trance, death, thrash and the like.

During trainig and in transit to meets I listen to realy heavy balls out stuff (pantera, disturbed, the cult, G'n'R, Metallica, Megadeth, etc..) .

Once at the meet and before I lift very very mellow stuff to relax me and calm my mind. Elton John, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Phil Collins, Coldplay, anything mellow and emotional to get my feeling it.
