Workout tips on getting ripped?

A big goal of mine to get my bodyfat down to about 8-9% (over the next few months)

At the moment it is 12.5% and I'm naturally a skinny/thin build so the problem has always been putting on weight not losing it, however now i'm a bit bigger i'd like to get rid of the fat that is on me (still got a bit round my hips n' top of legs.... waistline has never been that bad

now I have no problem with eating low fat stuff and running every morning (I'll do whatever it takes) but I don't want to lose much muscle

so i'll keep training with heavy weights 3-4 times a week, but I'd like to know....
a)when to do CV? (times of day? inbetween training days or on training days? etc)
b)what sort CV to do? (and how long it should last)
c)and any tips that I could add in my workouts to help me get ripped?

Start working on the diet. All I do is walk for 40-60 minutes, I dont do regular cardio myself.
 
isnt youngd the guy that posted that he trains for 2 hours at a time
 
yep thats me :) i'm a bit like superman

is sprint training okay as CV? helps me stay quick for bball
 
I would say get your diet going first. once you steady off start doing something like HIIT or meltdown(Tmag) to get the last bits of fat off

High Intensity Interval Training, supposed to be really good for cardio.
 
should I just try to keep my strength when ripping up by doing the 3 sets of 8-12 reps? or will something like drop sets or supersets help?

(btw I ain't lowering all the weights and pushing up the reps, I done that before and i lost so much size and strength it was terrible, a few months of really good gains were lost)
