Continue with your class-warfare comments. It's typical radical propaganda. The rich are where they are because of hard work and/or brilliance, likewise, the "poor" (once again, cable TV, cars, home ownership, more living space than middle classers in major European cities) are where they are often by their own choices. Go check out China or Cuba, and see how good it is when the goverment distributes the wealth--everyone is poor.

Why do you live in America with such hatred of it? Serious question.

Yes why don't you look into how much money it costs to run for the Congress or the senate......or President.....how many people that are not in the top 5% ever make it to any of those positions????? look it up slave
Another lazy uneducated comment that just supports that the rich rule us like kings.

If this was directed at me then...

My advice to you is stop making childish comments about people that you don't know. You seem to think you are the smartest person on this board. Let me tell you something...you're not. Your post about rich people having ALL (assuming you mean 100%) the political power, and this last post, proves just that. And yes, the rich people do have a big advantage in politics. No, they don't rule America. If you still feel they do, then get off your "lazy" ass, become a pioneer, get rich and become a "King" so you can be a ruler of America. But you won't get my vote, so you won't have "ALL" the power like you think you would. And if you want to cop out, then do us a favor and move to another country, I am sure you will be happier there.

Why would anyone want to be poor, god forbid you lose your business or get divorced and all of the sudden your one of "them"

Shit happens, not everyone can wake up and say "hey it looks like a nice day to be rich!''

Yes, their comments make me think they have lived a padded life.
Why would they want their cushy little boat rocked?

I didn't say they "want to be poor." I said they are -OFTEN- in their situation by their own choices in life. Anyone can be successful if they want it bad enough, some people will have to put in more effort than others, but the oppurtunity is there for everyone. Neither of my parents graduated college, and now my father makes well over 100K/year. And, like I said before, consider what poor is in America.

Great post...........I personally do not buy anything made in China.
The Chinese could easily switch to the production of war manufacturing and with 1.25 Billion people look out...Plus they would probably find dozens of Countries who would love to help kick Americas ass.

I dont give a shit if theres 10 billion people in china, If america new they would lose the numbers war they would and could nuke china off the map, and vice versa.

Class-warfare is over. It has been won overwhelmingly by the wealthiest 1%. Are these movers'nshakers, these 1%, good for America? This is off-topic but consider:
Income inequality is substantially correlated to most of society's problems. Two studies -- one by Harvard, the other by Berkeley -- measured income inequality in all 50 states. They found that states with greater income inequality suffered from all of the following problems:
  • <LI type=disc>Higher death rates for all age groups.
  • Higher rates of homicide.
  • Higher rates of violent crime.
  • Higher costs per person for police protection.
  • Higher rates of incarceration.
  • Higher rates of unemployment.
  • A higher percentage of people receiving income assistance and food stamps.
  • More high-school dropouts.
  • Less state funds spent per person on education.
  • Fewer books per person in the schools.
  • Poorer educational performance, including worse reading skills, worse math skills.
  • Higher infant mortality rates.
  • Higher heart disease.
  • Higher cancer rates.
  • A greater percentage of people without medical insurance.
  • A greater proportion of babies born with low birth weight.
  • A greater proportion of the population unable to work because of disabilities.
  • A higher proportion of the population using tobacco.
  • A higher proportion of the population being sedentary (inactive).
  • Higher costs per-person for medical care.
Since the middle class suffers a large majority of these same problems it shows that inequality, not absolute poverty levels, is linked to many social problems. This means that cable TV, the number of TVs and number of cars you own are not relevant to the detrimental effects of income inequality.

Also, annually about 50% of the 'new' millionaires in this country inherit their wealth, i.e., they 'earned' it by accident of birth without contributing shit to society. It really is interesting to see people who are not rich carry a defensive torch for people who are exceedingly wealthy. Why such earnest defense of the rich? Where does it come from? Origins of wealth can be a matter of luck, gov. largesse (see corp. welfare), personal achievement, crime, inheritance etc. The wealthy are not all Horatio Alger heros.

Simple, they are Lemmings

I think it's hereditary, it has been bread into them, that tradition
should overcome common sense.
It's fear of change, they are happy to view the world from behind their rose
colored glasses

This type of behavior is as harmful as the welfare recipients
who think they should be given a check to pay for life

There's a few facts I'd like to clue some of you children in on. First off the USA spends as much on defense as the rest of the world combined. 2nd China is totally dependent on commerce by sea and I'm sure it finds the fact that the US Navy is overwhelmingly dominant to be most disconcerting. Yes, American Naval and Air forces could bring China to its knees, especially if we can get forward basing from Allied Nations in the Pacific rim. Even without it the USN can blockade China until they start eating each other.

China cannot feed its own people, imports most of its oil, and would die on the vine if the sea lanes were closed to their exports. In short, they are fucked!

Its true the gap is slowly closing. They are buying all the high tech weapons they can from the Soviets, most of all the ones that can threaten USN carrier battle groups. But they are still fucked! They cant even take a shitty little Island right off their coast. Their small nuclear deterrent is irrelevant as well. True its enough to stop us from invading them but why in hell would we want to do that in the first place. Its hard enough feeding a small nation of whiny rag heads imagine having the feed 90 gazillion little chinamen? If they even threaten America with their nukes they would be left a nation of radioactive cockroaches. And we could do it with about 10% of our active nuclear forces.

As for the rest of these quotes right out of the Little Red Book? Look even the Chinese figured out this communist Ideology is a load of horseshit. They are now even more capitalist then we are. And If any American ever wants to see true poverty then I suggest you go to China, or some other sundry 3rd world shithole. See if the Govt. pays mommas to sit around in a free condo getting high and making 4 babies by the time they are 20yo, with free health care, free food, dental, ass wipe...ect. Where yo mutha-fuckin babies daddy?

And further more...........

Higher rates of homicide...."Stop gangbanging"
Higher rates of violent crime...."Stop gangbanging and selling drugs:
Higher costs per person for police protection...."see above"
Higher rates of incarceration....."See above"
Higher rates of unemployment....."Get a fucking job"
A higher percentage of people receiving income assistance and food stamps..."See above"
More high-school dropouts....."See above 6"
Less state funds spent per person on education...."they don't go to school anyway"
Fewer books per person in the schools......"see above"
Poorer educational performance, including worse reading skills, worse math skills..."see above 2",and,"It might help if they stop gangbanging"
Higher infant mortality rates....."Mamma need to be a-gettin off dat rock pipe"
Higher heart disease....."quite eating shitty food"
Higher cancer rates......"quite smokin dem cools"
A greater percentage of people without medical insurance....."see above "get a job"
A greater proportion of babies born with low birth weight.
A greater proportion of the population unable to work because of disabilities...."yeah right, every other person in this country has a handicap placard and is drawing SSI" , "The basketball courts of America are filled with handicapped 20yos drawing SSI"
A higher proportion of the population using tobacco....."quit smoking fuckhead"
A higher proportion of the population being sedentary (inactive)...."Get off your fat ass"
Higher costs per-person for medical care......"Getting shot and knifed, smoking 3 packs a day, hitting the pipe..ect does tend to cost the taxpayer now dont it".

Boy.....another fucking Liberal with his head up his ass.................................Uncle Rich.........

Many people are upper middle class because of hard work, intelligence and dedication and I respect what they have done. But most of the rich 100 mil plus ( rich is not $200,000 a year income, that is upper middle class) are that way because of family money, political connections and corruption. Most people who dont know what rich is make the mistake you have. If you think being worth 3 or 4 million is rich then you have alot to learn.

As far as China, Mexico or Cuba ect. go its easy to find a country worse than America....but that does not make America great, it just shows that their worse places to live. And that type of argument is just lazy and unintelligent.

i take a different approach. i hardly think its lemmings, but i feel i should defend a system where i have the same opportunity as everyone else to become rich.

niether bragging nor proud, just showing an example counter to your claim.

I know many people who fall into the low millionaire group ( i.e. 1-5 million) and they are nowhere near rich.... upper middle class yes but thats it.
As for better Countries I have listed some on my thread "the greatest country in the world" but that is a matter of opinion and I'm sure you will trash any opinion that doesn't put America at the top of the list.

i find i know people worth 3 million to be quite rich i guess we will have to just disagree there, and its not that i will trash any country not named US on your list, i just havent seen any compeling evidence to make me think otherwise.

You countered nothing! all you are doing is what you do best "circle talking".
I never said only the rich ......and you know that....all you are trying to do here is do the Fox news spin and ignore what I actually said  pathetic :finger:

If you were in the group of people in the 3 million range you might have an idea of what that amount of money is really worth....maybe you will find out some day???
This thread is not about who is the best Country but rather the worst Dictatorship. If you want to debate the greatest countries in the world then please do it on that thread or create a new one with the exact topic you require.

hardly circle talking, i have neither the time nor the inclination to look up the net worth of every politician on the federal level. i merely gave a ready example off the top of my head counter to your claim. this has nothing to do with your bias against fox news, just a worthless attempt at your part to label a post as conservative and therefore in your narrow mind somehow belittle it without addressing the issue at hand. congratulations the unorganized and anemic democrats would be proud.:clapping:

100% circle talking I never said "all" hell I never said how many were rich at all...you really need to stick to the facts and stop circle talking.

dont assume. you have no idea of my family background or my past experiences, so using the "maybe if you had this experience" arguement would be worthless for either of us without a little more information at hand. and the truth is threads often morph into whatever the participants are thinking of at the moment. interesting how tangeants happen in a conversation.

as to the topic at hand, i still feel n korea is the worst currently and their international bargaining tactics over the last few days continue to prove that. however i do not feel the US will ever go nuclear again as a first strike option. i do hope we get the star wars program de-bugged soon however just in case. militarily speaking i dont feel these dictators posses a threat currently. however on the terrorist front we have much work to do

I'm done with you again....all you do is attack people personally and twist their words like some bad Bill O'Riley want to be. Pathetic and boring.

If you were capable of having an intelligent conversation without making things up I might talk with you but I'm better off arguing with a person who doesn't speak any English.
