I'm not sure how it happened, but I woke up on Monday and my right wrist was hurting ( and no it wasn't from that kind of over use). I must have slept wrong. It mostly affects pushing motions such as bench and presses. I stretched it out and did some light weight wrist curls but I still can not bare weight on it.

Are there any exercises that will strengthed my wrists? I do the exercises for tennis elbo, such as wrist curls, but that mostly works the forearm area.

You do not really 'strengthen' your wrists per se. Something you did obviously bothered them, they will heal with rest. You may want to consider wrist straps, also try and figure out which exercise might have caused the pain.

When you do presses how do you position your hands? Try and keep your wrists as straight as possible, do not let them bend all the way backwards, that will cause strain.
