I don't know. I would guess no. Why don't you go see a WU agent and get it changed?
^^ I have done that before myself, just bring your receipt and ID with you.
Hypothetically call the western union customer service and tell them you hypothetically spelled the name wring and you want to change it give them your hypothetical Mtcn number and your done should take about 3 hypothetical minutes lol!

Well... hypothetical recipient can try and pick it up at different locations hoping that some clerk won't notice the difference.
That is what I thought. I lost a bankwire recently as my numbers were all correct- but the recipiants middle initial was wrong.
