okay i go gym 5 days in the week. I work one body part each day with weights so i dont over train. Question is my esporta has a nice big honking swimming pool could i use it everyday or would it be to much ??

im not botherd about bulking but dont want to over train allso if it dont matter whats better ???

Swimming Or just use a treadmill and run ?????

Swimming is an excellent form of cardio, espeically if you take a good 20 minutes to swim some hard laps.

If your not trying to bulk and just want to get lean and mean, then I see no problem with doing it a couple of days a week. Doing it more than 3 might hamper your muscle gains a little bit, but nothing to dread over.

same what camaro says, i used to be on the swimm team for a long time in highschool it was awesome because it gives you so much stamina and energy, but i decidet im going to be huge so swimming is not an option more than once a week now,

you r not going to 24 hour fittnes are you, because if you areeeee...!!!! :ipoke:

what do you mean lol i go gym 5 times a week once every morning.

But because you say about swimming should only be done 3 times i might just go gym mondays wednesdays and fridays then.

listen man, my opinion is that you are way overtraining if you go working out 5 day per week, even if you do one bodypart per week it is still overtraining, let your body rest of any kind of resistance training for a day or 2....plus i think you would get sick of the gym prety soon if you go 5 times a week, so go 3 times a week but make a routine......and instead of runing for cardio just do swimming which is a great cardio excersise like camaro said.......just make sure you go weight training before you do your swimming, trust me, i know...... and i think most of the people here would agree with me on my opinions........

Swimming is amazing.
I use it just to relax.

One thought.. you are doing one body part per day, 5 days a week.. Aren´t you neglecting some important muscles ?

Everyone is different and what works for him may be overtraining for you. If he can handle it go for it. I ussually do a 4 day split and sometime when I can get in the extra day I do. I never get sick of it. I agree 5 days staright me damper progress because muscles get worked indirectly but if you space them out properly you can get away with it. Remember theres 7 days in a week heh.

As for the cardio, yes do it after the weight training or you would be shot when it comes to lifting.

What about delts & traps? And why the double on chest/tri?

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
that why i specifically said " My Opinions "

oh right sorry i ADD shoulders with my monday workout and friday work out.

i just like to stay leaned. I work chest and tricep 2 times because its at the end of the week and has been on 48 hours so they would have repaired esspically with all the glut and protien i take.

My chest is what i take pride of the most which is why i work it twice. maybe its wrong to do so but i like to do so =P

zenith, same here man, my chest is my baby, but not my favorite part of lifting, (2nd favorite), but i feel you man, my chest also the best part of me

just remember that swimming tends to make muscles long and lean. if you want the BB "look" I would keep swimming to a minimum...

I feel that anyone who is interested in maintaing good health that has access to a swimming pool on a regular basis should do it. It is just about the best exercise you can do. There is essentially no impact on your body (Joints, tendons, etc.), but it also offers a form of resistance training. It is good for improving strength, endurance, muscle definition, and it is definitely good for the old ticker (Heart).

Swimming will develop the lats and shoulders. I swam competetivly in hish school. I loved it! It also reduces the risk of injuring yourself.

swimming is great.... as far as swimming AFTER your workout, id have to say i disagree, depending on how much swimming you will do. if youre only gonna do 15 minutes of it, thats fine, but trying to swim decently fast for >20 minutes after a workout is very difficult. i find it hard to get a decent cardio workout after i have lifted weights.

hmm sorry all but after great thought im gonna stick with the treadmill LOL =P so much easier =P
