I have a question for all you guys out there. Back in highschool I was heavy into Army JROTC. Every year we would have one or 2 competitions where it was practically all the schools in Florida got together and we had a mile run, max pushups/pullups/situps ect. When I started in freshman year I was 5 feet tall and a "plump" 185lbs. I could barely run 100yards without being completely out of breath. By the end of my Junior year I was 5'5 anddown to 135lbs. I did a 5k run in 24 minutes. All of our training was very cardio specific trying to extend it as long as possible as we were doing this kind of stuff for the entire day during our competions.
There were also benifits...it seems that the leaner I got, the more attention I recieved from the ladies. All this combined with the cardio conditioning led to very...ahem...LONG days in bed during teacher workdays, spring break and especially summers (ah what great memories
) Anywhoo... getting to my point, during all these free-for-alls it was extremly easy to get and keep boners even after several hours of going balls to the wall. I never had any experiences to compare from before as I was a freshman and a fat little turd.
After I graduated things sort of changed. I started college and no longer did cardio but got into pumping the iron about a year after and have been doing it ever since. I have gained about 40lbs but about 20 of it has been muscle. My problem is that i have seemed lost my ability to "go all day" for lack of a better term. I can still get it up but it seems to take alot more concentration from me and more work from the girl.
I just started to get back into the cardio today and I was horrified at just how out of shape I was! I'm almost back to my pre-JROTC days!!!
I gave it a good thought and figured that after reading all these medical journals and articles, the more you workout, the better sex you have and whatnot. I know part of the game is mental but at the same time, could my lack of cardio conditioning be causing the decrease in my ability to perform?? Does anybody here have any experience with this? Any input would be appreciated!
