I hard boil tons of eggs every few days because they seem like a great quick snack.. I'm in the habit of grabbing a few as a snack several times/day, or else having some with a meal. I've averaged about 10 whites per day (probably 1 yoke in there total) from these frequent snacks. Is this a problem? Most of the cholesterol and fat is in the yoke right?

Thanks,
Ryan

Great question, I was wondering the same thing. I usually do 4 whites and 2 whole eggs first thing in the morning, and also my last meal at night. Anybody??

Nope.

Nothing wrong with whole eggs, either.

Great for my cut!!!!

Love to use hard boild eggs! They make great snacks, they are easy to add to just about any meal; whether adding them to a salad, mixing with tuna for a sandwhich, as a side with most things...

Never tried hard boiled...are they better than scrambled?

That would be a matter of taste. I like eggs in most any form, except raw.

One thing is certain, hard boiled eggs are easier to carry around than scrambled!:D

Very true! So after you boil em' can you reheat or what? Any toppings? I love adding natty peanut butter to my scrambled eggs...why i asked :D

Peanut butter and scrambled eggs! What an ... unusual idea.

Not hatin'... just sounds odd...

I've never even thought of reheating a hardboiled egg. Most often I just grab them from the frig and eat them or let them sit out for a while and then eat them or mix them with other foods.

Yeah, my taste buds are a little wack to say the least...used to add some medium salsa as well at one point. I now add salsa to my chicken breast :)

Hell, I melt natty with a pat of butter and drizzle it over green beans - I am NOT criticizing!

Burning hot salsa is added to at least 1/2 of my meals every single day. I freaking LOVE salsa.

And nope nothing wrong with egg whites at all. Some of the healthiest protein around, though it is missing some nutrients found only in the yolk.

Can anyone tell me if the following so called facts are roughly correct.

A whole egg has - about 70cals
- about 6 grams of protien
- about 5 grams of fat
Is this ture?

Also is nearly all the fat in the york, and how much saturated fat is there in a egg?

how much of the protien is in the white and how much in the york? i heard it is about 4 grams in the white and about 2 grams in the york, is this ture?

Finally how much cals in the white and how much in the york?

Sorry if these questions are basic and a waste of your time, and thanks in advance.

i routinely fry up a carton of whites and eat them on top of natty peanut butter smothered toast with a dab of sugar free ketchup :P

Yep.

Only 1.5 gm.

I read something like that too. Why not eat the whole eggs?

Do your own math. Calories Per gram: Fat 9. Carbohydrate 4. Protein 4

Don't feel bad, my friend. Everyone started from basic.

You know what he meant.. :paddle:

You just cruise threads to pick on people? That clearly unveils a psychological problem!

If your on here most days, youll soon see that a lot of the threads become the same.

Merk has just found his own way of entertaining both himself and us(well, me anyway)

This too shall pass! Its ok Moon, he's mad about this thread. http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/training/96851-help-me-lose-fat-again.html

Just the 8 thousandth time that someone wants to burn fat in the gym. I'm sorry its not my fault that so many are brainwashed. Its the begining of the year, pay the dues(if youre paying) and go crank out some cardio all day, like the other brainwashing portal, Biggest Loser.

And lets not talk about psycho-problems. You're already delusional based on your other post....and probably from working out and running for an hour. And I don't want to hear any crying, you jumped in here and went out of your way to talk junk when most people probably know when I'm joking or having fun.

Take it like a man:nerd:

As the Joker would say..." A little fight in you...I like that!"

I also love when I go to the gym, and there is so many fat people that just jump on the cardio wagon and crank out two hours and wonder why "its not working!" Why So Serious? :D

You can reheat a hard boiled egg in the micro, only takes a few seconds. BUT, NEVER put the whole egg in, always cut it in half. There are still people who don't know if you put the whole egg in it will explode as soon as you try to bite into or cut it (if it doesn't inside the micro first). This has caused some serious burns. No, I'm not kidding!
