look my spelling sucks so that is just the way it is. i am here because i need some assistance or input.

Im 32 i have been in and out of gyms for ever. back one i was 21 i got serious about building well cutting out and adding hard mass. I took androstene, hydroxy cut, acedobolin, and creatine. ill say just from what it did for me it was great i looked good i felt good and i built exactly like i wanted. well time went by and i fell out of the gym. now i am 32 i have started back of course with out the sups because most are banned now i can not get anywhere in the gym. No build no cut no nothing i stay the same. I have gotten stronger but not any where near the results i had. i have changed what i eat how i eat and still nothing. i know my age makes a big diffrence so what the hell can i do now that every thing is banned. i do not want to get fat that is major to me so i have to watch intake close i am 6,4 185 190 this is the weight i was when i was hard core cut out at 21 how can i get my body back to this level with out the stuff.

supplements have nothing to do with it. keep eating and lifting, maybe get some creatine (everyones seems to like it) and definately some protein powder. How long have you been lifting "again"?

Diet, Diet, Diet!!!

Your in the wrong forum, go to the diet zone.

I'm about the same age as you. Aside from your diet, look into HGH, I'm not saying it's for you...but it might be something worth considering.

/V

I doubt your old enough for HRT just yet.

I'm older than you and have been clean for about a year, maintained a lot more weight and I am not gifted.

Many people far older do just fine without steroids, I wouldn't suggest just getting back into training and already thinking you need sauce. This sounds like a recipe of negative thinking which will create possible addiction.

Diet, and maybe something like creatine ethyl ester (my personal favorite).

Wow your old at 32? I guess at 50 I should be a shriveled up prune.
I still don't need anything but food, rest, and a three hours a week in the gym to gain.

wow i don't know how you guys are able to gain like that . give me a today so i can give you exactly what i eat( ill make a list) Ive been in the gym now heavy for 6 months, soft about a year. i kept the same plan i had at 21 and i try to keep up but man i just cant find it. I think some of you guys have better genetics than i do. I cant push like i used to. i did want to clarify im not trying to gain mass weight at all i am trying to just layer in a hard pack. I just have noticed that i cant seem to get the cut i used to, the lines are not showing up, and the build is just not there and there is no doubt that my veins are smaller and much less pronounced. i am not sure how strait i can be with everyone but. i was attempting to go right back to it by searching out a source for andriol and going cutting the cycle in half(oral), with a cleanser just to be extra safe. i know many of you will disagree with using gears at all. i have an extremely hard time breaking threw the skinny tall genetics even back then. but let me list out every thing i eat per day and my gym reg to see if you can tell me what i may be missing. i read all the responses am i the only one that has noticed a major dif between 21 and 32. The dif in my ability is so big in comparison it has actually shocked me. i don't want to turn giant i just want to be able to push like i did and develop like i did.

by the way what HRT?
and man if i am able to build at 50 with just three hours a week i will be so happy. but the way my body is reacting now i am not sure if ill be able to lift at all. i blew out a tendon in my left shoulder doing 250lbs on pull downs. who does that happen to at 32?

hay everyone sorry about the double post but i just wanted to ask everyone/ with the list of stuff i used to use at 21. I have never been able to find info on what exactly acedobolin was.

to all moderators if i screw up and say something wrong tell me first and ill fix the problem please don't just boot me out.

Pulldowns dont need to be heavy to work well, in fact I'd suggest they dont be. They are a nice finisher or add-on work to a bench press day, but not something you should be straining on much IMO.

If you train like a bodybuilder (not like Ronnie Coleman, more like Jay Cutler) you wont hardly ever get hurt. As strong as Dorian Yates was, he still trained with a rather slow, deliberate tempo ensuring no 'false strength' from momentum during his lifts. Training like this pulled poundages out of my own lifts but I don't tweak various parts of my body that have acted up over the years.

Ditto to rahaas! 48 years old here, and have cut to 233 lbs. from 275 lbs. in just over 5 months. More defined and stronger now than at anytime in my life. 4 hours/week using Power/Rep Range/Shock lifting cycle. And ya, at 6'8" I know it's hard to pack it on sometimes; just means us tall dudes need to work a little harder.:D

i kept the same plan i had at 21

I did that too when I got back into lifting seriously 7 years ago. Spent two years just "toning" (half assed shit that worked when I was 21).

Keep the faith bro you will get some good advice here.
There's only two kinds of stupid: the questions not asked and the right answers ignored.

You might have done this with wide-grip pulldowns, yes? Try shoulder-width or narrower. Better lat development without the annoying RC tearing.
I'd further recommend weighted chins over heavy lat pulldowns. Again, always grip at or narrower than shoulder width and never behind the neck if your rotators are a concern (they should be). Wide grips for width is a myth that refuses to die, but still, I keep trying to kill it.

Regarding your age - I'm almost forty six and I still manage to get it up in the gym. The bar, that is, for squats, deads and bench. ;)

There's a pic of me in my profile - I'm forty two there. I assure you that you are still a child.

HRT = hormone replacement therapy. You won't likely need it yet.

Please read the link in my sig on getting started. It's true for getting RE-started as well.

Great post here

I'm 23 so I know I may not count in this much but what I would say is stick to a good diet, a good diet will help you better then even the gym in the long run. A diet can boost your energy, you'll drop some fat over time and in turn boost your ego or motivation so you won't feel so down on yourself. If your really concerned about going on a PH/DS get a blood test done and see how your test levels are if your below then go on a natty test booster if they are fine diet and training with rest is all you need.

If wanting to try supplements I would suggest BCAA's, Multi vitamin, Fish oil, possibly Creatine if you like (I don't take it) Caffeine and Whey isolate the rest of your money should be used on food and going out some place to take your mind of stress. A stressed lifestyle or attitude won't get you far in your gym goals but these are just my suggestions. If you need any help with your diet or training let me know or any of us as we are all here to help and support you.

Welcome to the board. :hiya:

I guess that's proof even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut...or is it a nut finds a blind squirrel?
