is creatine good for 15 year old boys? i have a few friends who take it before working out and they say it gives them energy, is that true?

Creatine does not give you energy. I have heard conflicting answers to your question. Some say that 18 is the age to start creatine. Others say that it is fine as young as 15. I know I started it at 16, BUT I already had 2 solid years of training and a decent foundation built thanks to football. I would say that you should probably just focus on proper training, eating and rest. At your age, you are going to see good results without it. NOTHING takes the place of a good training program, diet and adequate rest.

Completely true, but if you are looking to use a supplement at a young age, Creatine would probably be the wisest choice.

x2..........you dont need it, but it wont hurt either....creatine is in steak in small amounts, just look at it that way

i took it at 15 it didn't do a lot for me b/c i didn't work out right. results come from working out and dieting right. i know thats prob not the answer you were looking for or wanted but its the truth

at 15 just eat and train hard you will grow.

But creatine can help with ATP regeneration which could help with muscular endurance. I'd still wait until I had a solid nutritional and training regime in place before beginning a foundational supplement as safe as creatine. Just make sure you don't take too much.

EAT BIG TO GET BIG. If your diet sucks, your wasting your time.

I'd wait as well. Creatine is more or less harmless. Increasing phosphocreatine reservoirs in your system doesn't have any real negative consequences, it does nothing to disrupt your endocrine environment, which is the real danger in any supp taken too young, however, as everyone else has mentioned, I'd wait.

^^Correct, my only issue would be starting at an early age some will develop an early "need" to use supplements, when diet and training are the most important.

yes as they said you can use it I started creatine when I was 14 but I went month on month off. To be honest I dont think its worth the money. Just eat a bunch of steak. But Its not a magic supplement. thats why it is called a SUPPLEMENT. its made to supplement a good diet and training program.

Eat.... Exercise... Sleep... A good diet, proper weight training, and plenty of sleep should work just fine. You're still growing...

Your only 15, you will grow. Im gonna give you the best advice on this, If you start getting into supplements at 15, you are gonna disrupt your natural god given hormones. Creatine will not satisfy what you are looking for, Take a multimeg vitamin, load up on protein, steak, red meat and just be patient, your gonna grow. "Once Pandora's Box is open, it stays open"!
When I say that, Im referring to getting wrapped up in supplements, even though its only creatine, you will progress from there.... Im not trying to preach, I just want to give you a heads up!!!

Yes this is not preaching, just sound advice.

Yeah creatine will help you get bigger, if you take it right and exercise and eat right.
