I don't like that my iphone nor ipad can't use flash, but I haven;t really noticed it missing. Sure certain sites don't work for me, but I bought my Ipad to use specifically for writing. I have the bluetooth keyboard to go with it. At my fingertip I have all the research material, dictionary, thesaurus, internet access, Evernote where I can keep text, audio, image and drawing notes, Dragon speech to text app, ebooks galore, and much more all in a device smaller than the spiral notebook I used to carry...
As soon as I press the button it opens right to the app I was working in and if I double click the button I can access the last few apps I had been using.
Bonus is I can listen to my music while working, if I want I can play one of the very well made games or practice drawing/painting with the little Brushes app(thinking about investing in a stylus and the nomad brush for this), or learning new chords/scales with guitar toolkit, and much more
I think every child in school should have a locked version of the Ipad with keyboard no games or youtube but they could have text books, learning games, art apps, internet access (with parental controls) and so much more in a little device....
