I stopped caring about birthdays after my 21st. Don't really care about other people's bdays either.

anyone else?

Me too. Pisses off my wife. I have to do my best with the kids though.

I like celebrating my birthday because it's basically a free pass to be a huge jackass.

If someone remembers my birthday, that is all I care about. It's nice when they do. I don't expect or want presents for it. Just say happy birthday, and take a shot with me at the bar.

Other than that, it's just another day.

I try to make the effort to get people that are family presents for their birthday, but I put less and less effort into that now that I'm getting older.

didn't even care when I was little....I have to set reminders in my blackberry for others outside the family. my brain just doesn't retain useless info like that.

After 21 I haven't really cared. It's just an excuse to take off from work and kick it for a few days.

we dont make a big deal of it in the far east , i always forget my birthday ( so does my husband) and my twin is just as apathetic about it.

I don't really care about my birthday, but I'm a dude.

I've found that most women do, though! :dont:

I like getting the gift from my gf, usually something awesome like an Iphone or netbook or nice fountain pen. She prefers to buy her own gift then she gets what ever she fancies at that moment cause her likes shift like a school of fish, but I still give her a good massage for her birthday and a card that I print pictures of my dogs paw prints on like they signed it. She was really happy this year when her daughter sent her flowers and a card, it is the first year her daughter worked a full-time job and supported herself and she still took time and money to send her the flowers, she cried a little.....In the card she apologized for all those teen years she was a brat and now she realizes how hard it is to work to support just herself, she even wrote a message to me saying how much she respects the sacrifices I made to help raise her and that she loved me too, it was very special...... Little surprises work wonders even if people claim they don't care about their birthday.....

I don't care, but I certainly won't return any good/useful gifts.

I don't give a flying fuck about my birthday or anyone elses

You, sir, never disappoint.:winkfinger:

As a matter of fact, to answer Sloots Q. I'd choose Kelju to be my partner in Felony Fights, and we'll take on all comers.

I make a lot of reference to my age, but the birthday celebration thing has never been a big deal for me. Do remember my 12th birthday because I got my first ride on a motorcycle that year! Was either a Harley or a Triumph chopper. (I was a kid and not bike smart, but it was definitely either or.)

Triumph chopper! ^^^^ Still not especially bike smart, but I definitely love to ride. :thumb:

And I do make sure to visit my niece and nephews on their birthdays.

Never cared about getting attention, so I sorta didn't care about birthdays past like 18. I have tried to make my brothers birthdays decent, even though one is a week before christmas and the other a week after.. they kinda get the shaft I guess. They are both younger than I am though, 7 and 8 years.. so they got to enjoy the excitement as kids.

I rarely remember birthdays now, and even if I do, I don't care enough to acknowledge it. I don't see much point.

What was your sweet 16 like? I heard that's the most important b-day for girls.

LOL. I think it was the first time I got high. My bf at the time had borrowed a bong from a friend. He suggested I sat down, I didn't think it was that big a deal. Loaded up the chamber for me, I hauled it back... BOOM, I blacked out in the middle of the kitchen floor. Pretty sure I made him shit his pants. But yea, fun times.

I use to care when I lived with my parents. Now I realize that it's my money that my wife is using to pay for my own expensive present. Definitely overrated.

That might be the best idea I have heard in a long time. I'd prefer to go drink Killian's Irish Red on tap for a few hours so that I am good pissed off and belligerent before the the shows start.

Time is like a flowing river that never stops, and never returns. Your true birth day is already gone right after you were born and will never come back. But, because humans have managed to invent numbers, months and years to make things convenient, you can always have your make believe birthday.:)

At 52, every birthday reminds me how old I am getting. And that sucks when I party like I'm in my 20s and have the body of a 52 year old. But Kelju I would love to kick back a couple of killians(sic) with you. I truely belive that would be a great time. No homo I swear.

I agree, it's all bullshit. Especially here in the office. Who gives a shit.

How come she does not use her own money?

Age is just a number to those who allow it be just that.
Are you not here to learn some health and fitness info/tips?
Ones that would improve your enegry level where you'd feel 20.

Who wants to be reminded they're one year closer to death.
