it has to be legal meth. I never stay up this late.

245am

It's actually nuvigi(spl)l, I guess the next generation and it is very potent and stable. At least 8 hrs of steady energy without jitters.

Armodafinil is used to treat excessive sleepiness caused by narcolepsy (a condition that causes excessive daytime sleepiness) or shift work sleep disorder (sleepiness during scheduled waking hours and difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep during scheduled sleeping hours in people who work at night or on rotating shifts). Armodafinil is also used along with breathing devices or other treatments to prevent excessive sleepiness caused by obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS; a sleep disorder in which the patient briefly stops breathing or breathes shallowly many times during sleep and therefore does not get enough restful sleep). Armodafinil is in a class of medications called wakefulness-promoting agents. It works by changing the amounts of certain natural substances in the area of the brain that controls sleep and wakefulness.

I won't it to go away. I don't like it

Hoe many mg did you take? When I work my grave shifts I take half a provigil and I am alert and awake for about 12 hours. If I take a full pill it is to much and gives me some anxiety

Why am I awake ?

I can handle being awake, I can't handle being awake and bored

I just got a script for provigil, 2 a day and I am feeling like a champ on 8 shots of espresso with no jitters. Pharmaceutical companies are such crooks, they've known how great this is and the lack of harm from using it yet they know they can keep it as script only and charge the insurance co's high prices and make out like bandits. I spent last night hopped up researching these things for 3 hours with the intense focus of Elliott Ness after Capone.

I couldn't get a script for provigil to save my life! I had sleep work disorder too and nope.. Damn you kaiser!

it's a CNS stimulant. all of them effect the ability to go to sleep.

I have a script for it. It works great to help regulate my sleep patterns. I used to stay up til all hours and then have to take naps or just doze off in the afternoons. Now i stay awake and alert most of the day and when it wears off i can sleep all night usually.

I wish somebody would come up with some kind of drug that has the same effects as meth but not made of toxic chemicals. I fucking love that shit but it's just too fucking nasty to do anymore.

Provigil is close to it, I haven't tried a higher dose yet, but I am betting 200-300mg will get me tweaked. I took 100 at 4pm and was wide awake around 11pm but I closed my eyes and was able to fall asleep no problem..

Really great stuff for someone like me with Central Sleep Apnea which I am sure I've had my whole life since I have never had a refreshingly good nights sleep and always had trouble waking in the mornings. Central Apnea is different than obstructive, it's not related to being over-weight or a smoker or any of those issues, it is actually the message from your brain not telling your body to breathe.

Doing more reading it looks like it would be a good supplement for people who did do a lot of amphetamines/methamp's/Ecstasy,etc. it has neuroprotective qualities that may actually help rebuild damaged neural pathways in the brain.

Several studies show positive data:

Its a crime this stuff is so expensive and they keep letting the pharm co that makes it block any generics.

Check on Indian websites. They have generics for everything

When did it first get FDA approval. I believe the patents are for 17 years. After that companies are free to issue generics.

My threads are timeless. They continue to be relevant throughout the years.

It was actually nuvigil(spl) I was taking. S same thing I believe just the next generation of the drug.

Interesting side note, about 3 weeks later I had a nervous break down and lost my mind. Unrelated to the drug.

True story

My cock-blocking insurance won't approve payment for Provigil nor Nuvigil (don't blame them really that shit is more expensive than cocaine I imagine), so my Doc has me on 10mg of Dextroamp. to wake me up in the mornings and another 10 later if needed. My quality of life has been great now that I don't feel like the sleepless Ed Norton in Fight Club with delusions of being awesome when I know I've been dragging ass from being tired. Gonna go for a walk down and back up the hill by Diamond Head when I get home, bring my 2 rambunctious puppy boys for company...

Isn't this the shit Jack Kerouac would pop and write non-stop on? Was it dexies or bennies?
I have been writing much, much more which is making me very happy. I was getting depressed because my creativity had stagnated in the fog of disillusionment. I usually write later at night or weekends, but had no drive to or fell asleep when I tried to write or even read for inspiration.

This is a good doctor who will thumb his nose at the bureaucrats who think they know what medications patients should be on. We need many more like him.

Time to head home and get some cardio, eat some chicken caeser salad and setup my weights for tomorrows workout.

If I'm prescribed Ambian (for sleep) and Klonapin (for anxiety), do you think my doctor would still prescribe me Armodafinil on top of that. Reason I ask is I am on call 6 days a week 24 hours a day. So my schedeule is completely fucked. I do operate heavy transportation equipment. So my company states I cannot take Ambian within 6 hours of work or Klonapin within 8 hours of work. I wonder if that would be too much for my body or would it help me wake up when I need to and sleep when I need to.

You can find a doctor that will give you anything you want.

All states should follow Florida's example.

It all depends, I had the same general prac. doctor as my girlfriends 88 year old grandfather who was dying of lung cancer, and I had to beg him to give him pain killers. He gave him Tylenol 4 which did nothing for him. It took me going to his oncologist (the clinic both worked at only allowed the GP to write scripts)and asking him to talk to that doctor to prescribe something stronger, he still refused. Then one night he started having trouble breathing so we rushed him to the ER, the DR in the ER asked him if he was feeling alright after they stabilized him and he said he had been in excruciating pain for weeks. That ER doc was furious to hear that his GP had refused to give him any medication that would ease his suffering and the next day he went down and talked to the head of the clinic. I get a call later that day telling me to come down and pickup a script for Fentanyl patches which greatly improved those last months of his life. Too many doctors bow to the feds and are scared to scribe anything Schedule II even if there is a definite need for it.

You might want to see a neurologist who is a sleep specialist if you are having sleep interruptions. I find that relying on a GP for anything other than basic sicknesses and checkups is a waste of time. Most of them are seeing too many patients a day, they don't have time to really look into your complicated problems, so they assume them to be of lesser importance.
