Yea well, it is 2012. We only have just over 6 months until the end of the world. If we've gotta go, I think Zombie apocalypse would be a suitable way. If my calculations are correct and based on comparisons between Resident Evil and 28 Days later, we should start seeing large amounts of infections somewhere between October and November.
Really, it's not so much a question of "will it happen?" as it is "will the zombies be the slow variety, or the rage crazed sprinter ones?"
