on a 4-5 day routine, if I am trying to cut, I do 20 minutes after WO and day off 40-50 minutes. Otherwise, I do zero cardio, but I take very short rest periods between sets, sometimes no rest. So I mostly do zero![]()
I do Monday-Friday, 30 mins of interval training. Walk at 3.0mph for 30 seconds, then run at 8.0mph for 30 seconds. Sweatin' my balls off when I'm finished!
I'll be honest man, I am (anticardio) lol, I shouldn't be though, I always feel good afterwards... I mostly use the stairmaster and I am fricken soaked afterwards everytime!
Stairmaster is good, but, IMO, HIIT on a treadmill is the best form of overall conditioning. I don't know many people that love doing cardio.
In another thread, I think Heavy was saying that the key to his physique was cardio, cardio, cardio and then some more cardio. And, it's no secret, not many guys want to do cardio, they wanna lift heavy and lift hard; but, cardio is so neglected, yet it's incredibly important to overall conditioning and physique appeal.
You ever see dudes at the gym that do absolutely no cardio, they can FB 500 pounds, and have a massive upperbody, but they have a little belly on 'em.
I agree, cardio is great, I should do more of it. My dilemma, Golds gym, where I usually WO (near the house) is full of gear junkies, power lifters, and alot of outdated and unused cardio equipment. If I am going to do cardio, I go to 24 which is a 30 minute drive
I stopped going to Golds years ago. They really declined as the leader in physical fitness venues. The Golds I was going to had about a 70% broken equipment rate. With the addition of Anytime/PF and others, it's hard for Golds to compete. I think the 24 hour 10.00/month gyms are the fitness centers of the future.
Sex 4-5 times a week is all for me. And it's long duration cardio not HIIT![]()
