Texas town allows teachers to carry concealed guns

Freedom is never free it has a price and armed Americans have an right granted under the Second Amendment to defend that freedom within a well organized militia as required.

The intent of the Second Amendment is not granting the right to own lots of pretty guns just because someone likes guns and likes to shoot them down at the gun range on weekends.

It means that someone is granted that right under the constitution with the understanding that they would be willing to use those guns while serving in a well organized militia in defense of the concepts of freedom and liberty within a free state and die if required to defend that freedom and liberty.

Such is the price of freedom and liberty.

Yes it is.
However all armed Americans have an obligation under the constitution to serve in a well organized militia in defense of a free state.
The ones that own weapons and disagree that they are under that obligation related to them being subjected at any time to be called to serve in a well organized militia to defend our free state have no rights under the constitution to keep and bear arms as they are in disagreement the first part of the Second Amendment that requires them to do so to be granted the right under the constitution to keep and bear arms.

Americans are obligated under the constitution to use that weapon and serve in a well organized militia as required in defense of a free state and that obligation is the only reason under the constitution for Americans to own a weapon.

Amendment II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

You quotes it, but didn't read it.

I'll emphasis the key word.

Amendment II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

A right is not an obligation.

Hopefully these teachers have good firearms training. Can you imagine some hysterical bitch firing with her eyes closed? Its a Good idea though. Long as these teachers know wtf they are doing.

Allowing people who are trained with a weapon like police officers, military vets (Screened of course) is a great idea. Now allowing a teacher to carry is another thing. What happens when Timmy talks about Mrs. Big bone Edna's weight problem a little too much this time? Teachers should not but I think someone should be.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Panama seems nice though.

Or Special Ted overpowers Ms. Lightfeather and takes her gun cause she told him he couldn't have a pudding cup because he failed his word search puzzle.

Pulled out the guns tonight so the wife could have a refresher course. I think I'll hit the range soon.

You just got them out to show her how big your barrels Heavy; don't lie!

This is the class my cousin teaches. One of his kids gave hima concussion and he has been stabbed. A gun is not need in his class as the mentally disturbed would over power him and kill people.

Pearl High School shooting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pearl High School shooting was a school shooting that took place on October 1, 1997 at Pearl High School in Pearl, Mississippi. The gunman, 16-year-old Luke Woodham (born February 5, 1981), killed two students and injured seven others at his high school. Before the shooting at Pearl High School began, Woodham stabbed and bludgeoned his mother to death in his home.

The incident began on the morning of October 1, 1997 when Luke Woodham fatally stabbed and bludgeoned his mother, Mary Woodham, as she prepared for a morning jog. At his trial, Woodham claimed that he could not remember killing his mother.
Woodham drove his mother's car to Pearl High School. Wearing a trench coat, to hide his rifle when he entered the school, Woodham fatally shot Lydia Kaye Dew and Christina Menefee, his former girlfriend. Pearl High School's assistant band director, Jeff Cannon, was standing five feet away from Dew when she was fatally shot. Woodham went on to wound seven others.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP][SUP][6][/SUP][SUP][7][/SUP]
The school's assistant principal, Joel Myrick, retrieved a .45 pistol from his truck and, spotting him near the parking lot, shouted for Woodham to stop. Woodham instead got into a his mother's car and tried to escape. Myrick, a US Army Reserve commander, detained Woodham until authorities arrived

Why should military vets be screened? Good enough to carry a gun to protect some vague tract of land in another country but you don't want to trust them to hold a weapon here at home?

Being a vet myself I love the idea but, I agree that anyone and EVERYONE should go through some sort of screening. Far too many cases of PTSD floating around to take any chances.

As far as little Timmy is concerned, fuck him. Little bastard had it coming. :shooter:

i agree with Albob on screening. more soldiers are dying of suicide than in combat.... mental health is a big issue in all these shootings.

In 2011 the US military lost 165 soldiers to suicide, a record that narrowly beat the 2009 level of 160. This year things have gotten much, much worse, and up to the end of November the suicide deaths are up to 303.

Im a vet and still serving. Have you seen what war has done to those that served? I think anyone that is going to carry around children and are there to protect need to screened. Not just Vets Zap. Honestly we need to come home and fix our problems within our country and not worry about other peoples problems. Your right on that

My first gun was at age 8. My first assault weapon age 16. HK91 .308 as a 16 year old. LOL! Man I loved that gun....

I'd only rarely been shooting over the years and never bought a gun until a couple years ago when I was 41. Now I'm making up for lost time. I go shooting as often as I can, I'll go shoot with anyone. Each range trip is spent trying to improve my skills rather than simply blasting away.

Show me those statistics.
