the cops were called and the dog was evaluated by a k9 officer briefly which probably helped my dogs case considering he was a level three PS

and regarding leash laws here...there really aren't any..your dog must be "under control" at all times ..
whether that's an e-collar, prong, choke, hand commands, clicker ..whatever as long as the animal obeys it at all times you're generally in good shape

That's why I asked. In Cali, a guy broke into a house with the intent to burglarize it. Instead he got his ass chased out by a large dog. He almost made it over the fence when the dog go it his leg and chewed the shit out of it. He sued the home owner and won.

One Sunday a very longtime ago, we got a call that cops caught a couple of black kids trying to break into my grandfather's gas station. We got there in a flash. The cops had the two kids against the garage doors. They had taken a glass pane out of the door and were going to climb through when the cops caught them. One kid starting to figit and the cop pushed him back into the door. The kid screamed and jumped forward, the cop shoved him back into the door. The kid screamed again and jumped forward. It was the third time that the cops noticed the kids pants were all shredded. Gramps had left Odin, his German Shepard in the garage for some reason that day. Well Odin is like most Shepards, they will let you in, but will not let you out. However, the plump ass of the kid poking through the open window was just to good to resist. So when the kid was pushed into the door, his butt poked through the open pane. Odin would start chomping. The kids were eventually hauled of to juvie and the dog got a big steak.

Great looking dog. They are so smart and loyal, ours is 10+ we really don't know because she was abandoned in our neighborhood. When we took her in she was a wild animal, now she is the best dog we ever had. They don't live long enough that's for sure.

he was my second shepherd ...my first died of cancer at old age. I got my first when he was about 5 or 6? he was a police wash out (tore up his handler but wasn't aggressive)
Dasty there was the only true alpha dog I have ever met. He sort of lost his mind and went for one of my kids and given his size and strength (think 90 lbs with ribs) he was just too dangerous unless he spent the rest of his life in a crate and muzzled. The vet who actually breeds schutzhund dogs suggested he be put down , that he saw it in even well bred shepherds a lot, an almost like dementia when they got to be over 7/8 years old.
thats not the one I was sued over..if that guy had ever gotten a hold of anyone seriously he would have absolutely killed them.

now I have a little 12 lb terrier that hears everything so I can shoot you in the face if you come in my home
