I have read the bible three times and I have found the quickest way to accept that it is a melting pot of man made ideas is to just read it from cover to cover. All this talk about God being love is a crock. Read the book of Job. Oh and if God can let his "Son" suffer a death like that then I am sure there is absolutely no hope for me. The bible is filled with genocide, smashing babies against the rock, stoning your own son if he disrespects you and so on. Not for me. What bothers me the most I think about Christianity is that they love to talk about how being a fag is such a great sin but they fucking forget in the same passage that eating pork or shellfish is an abomination as well. When you call them on that they say that is the old covenant and Jesus brought a new covenant.....................Seriously? Then I quote them the verse where Jesus said he didn't come to change the law and the law will not be changed until heaven and earth pass away. This is the point where they get quiet. Then I quote to them where Jesus said he only came for the lost sheep of Israel and even called the gentile woman who asked for his help a dog. Good luck getting saved. The Messiah was not a world savior. He was/is the savior of the Jews, a new king that would set Israel free. Oh and Jesus didn't do that.

Everything to do with religion is man made.

We are not alone and there is something greater than us. We have a purpose in the grand scheme of things. Love is the greatest gift you can ever give to anyone. We are not alone and there is something greater than us. We have a purpose in the grand scheme of things. Love is the greatest gift you can ever give to anyone. I submit to you that the universal truth of any religion is what is demonstrated in practice by the followers of a religion.
A universal 'truth' is one that is grounded in reality.
A universal truth requires an objective state of reality backed by empirical evidence, not a subjective state.
What can be classified as a universal truth is that people are what they do, not what they say.

As follows are the core universal truths as presented by these two religions.

Christians believe that what is written in the Bible is the only universal truth, that Jehovah is the one true god and that salvation and entry into heaven is only possible by accepting Jesus Christ.
That all other gods are false gods.

Muslims believe that what is written in the Koran is the only universal truth and that Allah is the one true god.
That all other gods are false gods.

Both religions doctrine indicate that anyone not accepting the universal core truths of those religions as they see those universal truths will doom the unbeliever to torment in hell.

Which version is the universal truth backed by objective empirical evidence and which is subjective delusion not backed by any objective empirical evidence that would allow them to be classified as universal truths?

I submit that religion is a subjective man made delusion that in realty as practiced in the world is a form of political and behavioral control.
That is is delusional to see religion as it is in any other way.

I also submit that love is not the guiding universal truth of either religion respective to the historical truths of both religions.
The facts of that submission have been demonstrated and is still demonstrated by the followers of those religions as well as what is documented in the Bible and the Koran.
Both books are full of documented events associated with violence, war, murder and genocide.

The historical facts of the levels of violence, mass murder, wars and genocide associated with both religions are proof positive that the universal truth as practiced in the world by followers of both religions is not love.
The universal truths of Christianity and Islam that are demonstrated by the followers of both religions are violence, war, murder and genocide.
People are what they do, not what they say and violence, war, murder and genocide follow the practitioners of both religions wherever they go.

The world in the past and the world today was and is a bloody place full of violence and killing and the practitioners of both religions were and are up to their necks in that blood, violence and killing.
They were not then and they are not now loving other people they are killing them.
Once again people are what they do, not what they say.
