I don't understand the point of testing the waters.. Testosterone only cycles are usually pretty underwhelming.. I also don't believe one must earn the right to run strong compounds by first running weaker compounds or that one must know all there is to know about diet and training before using.

I agree with the cycle info in this post. If the OP has never done any prohormones or oral only cycles, 500mg week of test should give nice gains. But me personally I recommend doing 25-35mg of dbol for the first four weeks, while waiting for that test to kick in. A beginner is not going to want to use short esters, so a dbol jumpstart will give the new user some gains almost immediately while waiting for the test to kick in.
But this is what I was taught or learned from my own experience....
You wanna get lean? Reduce calories, for me a CKD diet is the ticket

you wanna get big, add 350-500 extra calories a day, mainly clean food, but some fast food a few times a week is fine. If you level out on that, then add another 350-500 extra calories, and so on and so forth.

you are already lean and want to grow and stay lean..... Pretty much stay at maintenance with occasional calorie boosts.

In any case though, you can bulk or cut no matter which stack you use. Obviously, that probably isn't the best approach..... but if you do a test prop, tren ace, and anavar cycle but plow through 5000-7500 calories a day, guess what? You ain't going to be cutting. Likewise, if you do the famed test, deca, dbol stack, but drop your calories 800-1000 a week, you aren't going to gain shit.
Search the internet on Dorian Yates. A monster if I've ever seen one, and he has some pretty decent diet advice. Food is more anabolic then steroids.... If you stop eating food, you will waste away and die. If you stop eating food and take 5 grams of steroids a week, you will still waste away and die.
