LOL.
Women and purses.
Why in the hell do women think that they need to carry around all of that crap with them in a purse everywhere they go?

Fans Upset Over NFL's Bag Ban at Stadiums

The NFL is tackling game day safety concerns with a new bag rule.

Bags bigger then your hand are not allowed inside the stadium unless they are clear plastic. The Raiders mailed season ticket holders official plastic bags and information about the new rule.
But lots of fans attending Friday's Raiders game didn't know about the change until security officers bounced them out of line, directing them to a bag check at nearby Oracle Arena.
Samantha Whittemore was one of many fans who were not thrilled their bag was banned. Finding bag check and getting a zip lock bag to carry her belongings in was not what she planned on.
"That way it's safe, they can see in your bag," Whittemore said. "But not having your bag with you and finding where to go to get a clear bag is hectic."
Purses and backpacks piled up at a bag check area during Friday's game.

Men waiting outside for ladies dropping off purses said the Raiders should do a better job informing fans.
"It's a little time consuming," Jessy Hillman said. "Information should be put out there so we know. But I understand the reasoning, for safety."

Meet the women behind the My Purse. My Choice parody PSA tackling the NFL's new purse restrictions

By Jeff Mosier

The NFLs ban on most purses triggered grumbling among some women unhappy with the prospect of restricting the contents of their bags, or the prospect of buying a new clear bag to meet security demands.

Two women in New Orleans found humor in both the NFLs inconvenient rules and the outrage it inspired. They expected to bring a few laughs to New Orleans sports fans and their friends in the local comedy scene.
Instead, Colleen Allerton (@lleenypants) and Lauren LaBorde (@laurenlaborde), scored a viral hit with their mock public service announcement My Purse. My Choice.

Inspired by Planned Parenthood-type ads, the video strikes a serious tone at first. Somber music plays as the women wearing simple black dresses stand in front of a white background and explain the downside to not having a fully stocked purse.

Living with sweaty bangs because you dont have a bobby pin on you, Allerton says in the video. You can't see if you have something in your teeth because you don't have at least three Sephora mirrors that came with gift cards.

She explains that the league rules are an attack on women and their freedom of choice.

My purse. My choice, LaBorde announces in the video, a twist on the My Body. My Choice abortion rights slogan.

The two-plus minute video continues with them explaining all the necessary items found in purses, including, Dr. Scholl's inserts, 17 J.Crew receipts, a freezer bag of cookies, turkey wrap, generic Afrin, a weapon and much more. The deadpan delivery grows funnier as the list veers between the normal Tide pen and the silly someone else's purse.
The video had nearly 377,000 views by Friday and a portion had been shown on the Today Show. It?s also been mentioned everywhere from the New York Times to CNN.

Fuck your purse. Follow the rules or fuck off cunts.

it has nothing to do with safety and everything about increasing concession sales, they really think everyone in the US is a fucking idiot don't they?

If you think about it, there is a definite possibility that some asshole or assholes could put a bomb in a large purse or backpack and do alot of damage, the towel heads would love to see that happen, what if they got 10 bombers with purses and and took out a bunch of sections of the stadium, all you need is your wallet and keys, if you can't abide by the rules stay home.

No one is forcing them to go. If they don't like, don't go

I've been to many NCAA college football games and average about 1 NFL game per year.

Now, it's 0.

Just another way to separate you from you wallet - No, I'm not a football purist, but like the game.

I'll watch it at home in my own entertainment center.

Same with rock concerts. Been to dozens and dozens. Not anymore. $$$$.

sure it's a possibility and it has been for decades but to think that they won't use the current political atmosphere (which is all bullshit to begin with) to bilk the workers out of more money is being naive.

they just opened up a brand new Wet & Wild in Vegas the beginning of the summer and they did the exact same thing. you can't bring in anything but a water bottle, it forces people to consume more than they would normally due to a lack of options.

That would have happened already. How many professional sports arenas are there and how many games are there every year? The terrorists won. They've got most people in the US scared of their own shadow and absolutely terrified to the point they will let their rights be violated every which way to Sunday.

who gives a fuck if its marketing or safety its their company if you dont like it dont go to a game. They can make a rule that you have to were NFL gear to the game if you want in. Its their company period. I am a season ticket holder and after going to a few preseason games with this rule the lines go much faster when checking bags. Also I been a ticket holder for years and have seen people sneak knives in their girl friends purses.

Don't you live outside the USA? How many NFL and NCAA games do they host where you live?

Good. Way too many people die in NFL stadium terrorist attacks every year. What is it, like zero a year? That's too many. Something has to be done now.

zero attacks in world history, the same amount of times terrorists have bombed my bathroom.

Maybe Maybe not, it could happen, better safe than sorry

and Zombie Reagan.

just the Reagan tax cuts which have greatly increased the concentration of wealth and political power in the US, but I guess history doesn't matter?

Taxes and the Economy: An Economic Analysis of the Top Tax Rates Since 1945

"Concluding Remarks

The top income tax rates have changed considerably since the end of World War II. Throughout
the late-1940s and 1950s, the top marginal tax rate was typically above 90%; today it is 35%.
Additionally, the top capital gains tax rate was 25% in the 1950s and 1960s, 35% in the 1970s;
today it is 15%. The average tax rate faced by the top 0.01% of taxpayers was above 40% until
the mid-1980s; today it is below 25%. Tax rates affecting taxpayers at the top of the income
distribution are currently at their lowest levels since the end of the second World War.

The results of the analysis suggest that changes over the past 65 years in the top marginal tax rate
and the top capital gains tax rate do not appear correlated with economic growth. The reduction in
the top tax rates appears to be uncorrelated with saving, investment, and productivity growth. The
top tax rates appear to have little or no relation to the size of the economic pie.

However, the top tax rate reductions appear to be associated with the increasing concentration of
income at the top of the income distribution. As measured by IRS data, the share of income
accruing to the top 0.1% of U.S. families increased from 4.2% in 1945 to 12.3% by 2007 before
falling to 9.2% due to the 2007-2009 recession. At the same time, the average tax rate paid by the
top 0.1% fell from over 50% in 1945 to about 25% in 2009. Tax policy could have a relation to
how the economic pie is sliced?lower top tax rates may be associated with greater income
disparities."

and labors share went down, imagine that? where did that extra income from, I wonder.

Bain is just going to go underneath the stadium via sewers and subway tunnels to blast a crater across the whole field....Wait is it Bane or Bain? Am I or am I not confusing Bain Capitol with Batman??

I think the biggest missed point on this thread is: HD on a bigscreen is a better view than sitting in any stadium seat.

Sure, tailgating is fun, drinking is fun, chillin with the buddies is fun. But all that could be had for much cheaper at your own place. Plus traffic sucks asshole.

Maybe I'm just bitter because I'm a chargers fan. FML.

How did Reagan get involved with this thread?

if they really care about peoples safety they would stop having Raiders home games, or stop serving alcohol, seems to be where the trouble starts

the biggest threat to Americans is the US government and the private sector under it's favor.

I don't remember either of those killing 3k people, destroying the world trade centers, and causing an immediate economic downturn.

Exactly. Im not a fan of goin to games. After drinking to many $8 shitty beers, you have to miss a half a quarter waiting in line to take a piss. F that

nobody knows who brought the towers down and if you believe the government story then I just pity you.

like I said before you don't know jack squat about economics. the 2001 recession was the caused from over-investment in the tech sector it has nothing at all to do with 9-11! the 2001 downturn was based on pure market fundamentals. LMAO!

but what do I know I was only working for the world's largest manufacture of telecom test equipment and our sales dropped from 20B to 1B in 3 quarters after the dot.com bubble burst.

the 2001 downturn only hit capital, that's why the majority of the layoffs were in technology, the fake housing market bubble was still building because it had just gotten started after the passing of TRA97. there was no loss of home wealth in that downturn as home values continued to rise especially after the FED decreased rates in 2002.
