Hi Mudge, i was wondering if i was looking for a new workout and i've about the HST principles and training. So if you could post a sample workout that would be great.
If can only do just the one pull up then do the negative movement of the pullup because we all know that you can lower much more than we can lift.
So you should start with as many normal pullups as you can do then climb up there or use a stool and lower your self for a count of 8-10 secs in as...
Sorry i should have been more specific i ment techniques in the exercise for the part of the traps nearest the spine or near the origin of the mucsles mid and upper region.

Could any one tell me how to affect the inner mid and upper traps please because when i do my shrugs (leaning slightly forward and my neck slightly forward also) i can only affect the outer parts those being nearest my scapulae and delts.

If your a hard gainer then you are doing way too much if you want to grow try cutting down the amount of days you workout a week. What you are doing at the moment is most likely causing overtraining. This would be a good example to try:

Well if your strong enough and he certainly sounds like it i think the wrist would be ok ,DP can i ask how many years you have been training just get an idea of how advanced you are?
You have still got too many sets for sets for Tri's and Bi's cut them down to 4 or 5 sets and they wll certainly grow you just need to add a little more weight to make sure your arms are worked enough.
Pleeaaaaaaaaassee!! don't push your self to hard or to heavy! this WILL cause injury. Your muscles can handle the weight but your ligaments, tendons and joints can't so please be careful.
I'm speaking from trial, error and injury here so watch yourself.
