    Gain Mass without Gaining Fat

well, start light and go slowly. With the proper form this should help your bad back, with ugly form... well it would make it worse. The same is definitely true of deadlifts - do them right and see if they help your back.

    Gain Mass without Gaining Fat

ignore that L Armstrong idiot, he's been spamming that all over every forum out there. Front squats are where you have the bar across the front of your shoulders and you can either place your hands on the bar as if you were about to do a military press, or you can cross them and place them palm...

    stomach expanding during bulking

everyone is different... depends on your metabolism. I went from 163 -> 205lb eventually eating 4000 clean cals a day in 7 meals, that took a year with 30lb in the final 6 months.

Lost in a sea of sweets

yo I live in london. You might look for a "Holland and Barrett", they are a pretty standard health store. They carry most things from Flax/Fish Oil to Oats, nuts...things like that. GNC's also exist here but they aren't too common. Whole Meal, afaik is the same as whole wheat, although I'm...

Trans Fatty Acids and the Heart

Not really, I won't believe anything anyone says without doing a lot of reading and research to find out. DP would be the first to tell you I ask a lot of scientific questions and want to know the whys and wherefores behind certain ideas. The fact is, I believe Mary Enig PhD, and Sally Fallon...

    Cholesterol and Triglycerides

Trans fat is very bad (except for CLA), and I'm sure it does negatively affect serum cholesterol... but there isn't any in coconut oil. In fact, I use it because it is less likely to form any in the cooking process. http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/coconut-oil.htm I cook with...

    Cholesterol and Triglycerides

lol. Free range organic eggs, not much chance mate. 1 in 30000 ? I'll take those odds for a healthier lifestyle. In any case, I'm not sure they're technically raw... I fry my eggs in a pan with coconut oil, it's just I don't cook the yolks solid.

    Cholesterol and Triglycerides

I just wanted to add that dietary cholesterol doesn't really (I believe) affect serum cholesterol unless it has been oxidized (i.e. heated i.p.o. oxygen). I always eat my egg yolks runny for that reason.

Trans Fatty Acids and the Heart

I agree that trans fat should be eliminated completely, but I have to flat out disagree that saturated fat and dietary cholesterol are bad for you. It isn't even that simple, depends on whether the cholesterol is oxidized or not too. I also strongly disagree with the constant touting of...

Has anyone ever purchased the fitday program??

like what kind of stuff? The reason I stick with the free one is the ease of access from anywhere with an internet connection.

    Eating on off days

prolab lean mass matrix is supposed to be good (haven't tried). I generally only use myoplex deluxe. Both those contain complex carb sources and not malto...best imo edit: sorry I was talking MRP's there, if you meant protein powder then listen to LAM below

    Eating on off days

right seems good. Have you consider completely splitting C and F apart ? It might help you minimise fat gain on a hypercalorific diet. I always shoot for <10g of fat / carbs in a carb / fat + P meal. Also I always have a tablespoon of apple cidar vinegar with or before every P+C meal. I hear...
