how much bf do you have and what is your activity level like ?

right now im on a sea food diet, i eat what i seee

im tryen to put a diet plan together which will go in effect as soon as its ready.

id say at least 30-40 pds of my wieght is fat which is what i plan on losing

i am pretty active, i play squash, move around all day, upstairs and down, and just started a 5 day routine at the gym which includes a 30 minute cardio session 5 days of the week

soo????

well you need to figure out your maintenance calories.

there are rule of thumb ways to do this.

Multiply BW *14-17 depending on how fast your metabolism is, and your overall activity level. I've tested *17 and it works for me.

start out with a higher level and work your way down till your weight is static for a week or so.

be sure to read the stickies.

lol i thought you were being real savage until I saw his username :D

I highly doubt 2000 is enough, I eat almost that everyday and I weigh in the 150's.

I don't know..you really need to do all of those calculations.

I used an Excel sheet that someone posted last night, and my bare minimum for weight loss was around 1800, and recommended was around 2100-2200

right. just start with the 3000-3500 range for maintenance level.

your best bet to conserve lean mass is to let the workouts/cardio create the entire deficit; this will spare your diet by allowing nutrient intake at a maintenance level. Also good for avoiding "flatness" from ultra low cals from carbs.
