Does anybody belive this is truley the best way to eat im terms of bodybuilding or is there people out there who belive this is a total myth...

I have been doing it for some time and iv stayed lean all year round althought i was naturally very skinny as a kid and am a ectomorph by nature so i know this is a big part in me staying so lean.

My opinion is that it is good for people trying to loose weight and/or cut bodyfat due to it speeding up metabolism but it can be very unpracticall for people with work and stuff and can be a dam right pain in the ass at times!!

With things like IF (which im yet to try :)) is the 6 meal thing nessacery? or is getting your macros in the main goal here rather then meal timing itself? theres a lot of different opinions on the topic and i would like to know what people think on this..

id rather have opinions of people who have done both for decent periods of time rather then someone whos been lifting 6 months lol....

In my experience, timing the "correct macros" through out 6 meals far and wide exceeds just getting your macros in.

in what respect jimmy?

eating the correct nutrients at the right time, divided up correctly throughout your 6 meals to match your daily routine

IMO opnion you must eat often (every 2 or 3 hours).. to keep your body in a positive nitrate balance. Eating at he same time everyday makes it easier to get those boring meals down. But if you can't get the nutrients in at the same time, it's important to at least eat the food you missed at some point of the day.

I think more meals are better. even of they are all smaller. 4-5 better then 2-3.

I eat 2-3 meals per day, carbs only after work out. Works for me.

Everyone is different. Macro timing far outweighs general meal timing.

i understand what you mean but whenever I hear "it works for me" i always laugh a little. no disrespect i just hear it on a daily basis. The reason i laugh is you may THINK it works for you but... how do you know something else doesn't work better?

OPINION^^^

lol...

true statement, everyone is different. in this case, some have given advice because, they actually know what they are talking about, and some have given advice because, they think they know what they are talking about

FACT: macros are very important and you're off to a good start, if you're eating the right calories. However, timing is also important and makes a huge difference to pass the plateau a person stays at for not timing their meals correctly.

how does it work for you? as in your getting full after all 2-3 meals per day, sure, I'll buy that.

Maintenance 3-4, cut or bulk 5-6. That's what works for me

The first step to a successful diet is the one that fits your lifestyle. I've been eating several small meals every 2-3 hours for nearly 20 years, so my body tends to metabolize to that schedule and let's me know the MINUTE I pass 2.5 hrs since the last meal. I know a lot of people who work shift schedules or have to go long periods of time when they can't stop to eat - IF works great for them. I tried it for 10 days and towards the end really had a hard time w/ it, It takes an effort to change your regular habits / schedule. Even if IF produced the best results, if it doesn't fit your schedule and is very inconvenient to do, then its probably going to fail anyway for you. In the end it, there is no difference in the metabolic results.

Sassy is spot on. In regards to revving up the metabolism, there really is no evidence that eating more frequently accomplishes that.

But, there are definitely some people that prefer to eat that way and get results because of the increase in satiety from eating that way.

I also prefer to eat every 3 hours or so, but my total cals for the day is what really matters in terms of fat loss.

so just find what works best for you and get them calories in!

out of the last 9 days ive been under my macros for 5 days!!shit times lets call it a cut!

hypothetical scenario of 400 calories per day:

2 meals a day at 2000 calories each
3 meals a day at 1335 calories each

6 meals a day at 667 calories each

Personally, my body responds ten times better with macros delivered when I need them over 5+ meals a day, I understand not everybody has that luxury to eat all day, (I've been there). I think you should try for yourself and see what works for you.

No need to eat six meals a day. If it works for you, then go for it. But if it doesn't, don't worry about it. You are not alone. Many people eat far less frequently, with excellent results. It is really about waht works for you.

people forget that humans are bipedal and designed to graze over the course of the day. smaller meals allow for better nutrient utilization and partitioning since the human body has no storage capacity for micro-nutrients.

Barring disease or malfunction, meal count doesn't matter unless you're trying to win the Arnold. Macronutrient profile matters. Next question?

why do men have nipples?
