First off I did some very low level pro boxing ( only 3 fights) so I'm no expert at all. The question I have for you is do you have a trainer??? If not then you need to get one now. Boxing is nothing like weight lifting......boxing is pure skill......so training alone will not cut it at all.
My biggest workout was 5 hours and it was a living hell ( and showed that I had no idea how to train at that time) .....once I got a trainer I never put that much time in one day.
Post how you train every day....mon-sun....break it down day by day and tell me how much time you put in each day.
i had a trainer, i want atleast 100 amature fights b4 i turn pro, since i moved ive checked some trainers out but they are just not much in my eyes, they just wanna few box to teach ya a few things but not really want to see some of does guys go pro.. but my dad is looking for a good trainer that will train me and will have me fighting etc...
well i do alot of things for training diffrent days i do diffrent things, somedays i run about 7 miles do about 500 push ups 200 squads shadow boxing, constantly moving jumping up and down head movement etc building up speed jump roping 20 minutes then 4 rounds of power punching the heavybag, other days i run 3 or 4 miles do about 5 sets of 20 of pull ups grab 10-15 lbs dumb bells and shadow box with them for a few rounds, i dont know what this other exercise is, but i walk like a duck sorta lol get down and start walking around (in my garage dont wanna look like i need a psychiatrist lol) but i do that for awhile and then start jumping fromt aht positiong, i go all the way down and jump as highest i can, sometimes i put a chair and jump over it for a while etc... there are numerous exercises i do diffrent days, when i was with my trainer id circled the ring from side to side, and took rounds using 1 punch like, 1st round nothing but the jab, second round nothing but the right cross, 3rd round left hook, 4th round right hook etc... very good workout but allways end up exhausted till now ive been taking it easy gained a few pounds of muscle, i was training wrong i heard because i ate 1 or 2 big meals a day and trained very hard, i think i lost alot of strenght.. but i was in pretty good shape lol even the sixpack was already comming alive just that i heard that does pounds i lost i gained easily, and if u do it proper does pounds you loose usually stay off... now im just doing 15 rounds heavybag 200 pushups 700 sit ups (diffrent positions) jump roping shadow boxing with dumbells and a few squads, but eating lots of protien following the meal plans that i found from this site on the Cutting Threat (
http://ironmagazineforums.com/showthread.php?t=6620 ) and it seems to be working fine, followed it for 4 days so far i feel good, im no longer starving like i use to be and no longer feeling dizzy when i got up from my bed, taking multi vitimans 2, and my power has really improved, six pack is bigenning to show faster than other days that ive worked on it.. but yea any advise would be good, till i get me a real good trainer(boxing trainer)
