Anyone have any advice on sleep aids? Tried Melatonin and Tryptophan with no luck. Falling asleep with no issue but can't stay asleep. Seem to wake up after about 4 hours then can't get back to sleep.

zopiclone (prescribed) i sleep like a log with it and dont feel drowsy next day side effects are it leaves a horrible taste in your mouth!

50mgs of Benadryl will knock you out, make sure you can get a full 7-9 hours of sleep or you'll wake up feeling groggy.

Avoid diphenhydramine, ive used it for years and it f*cking ruins you. With long term use, It makes you disassociated. This is the year when a lot of spiritual awakenings will occur, id recommend everyone avoid this drug. Its technically classed as a deliriant and long term use, (anecdotaly anyway) suggests that its horrible for your brain. Smoke mj instead if you can.

Should never be questioned why the Bro is a MOD.....:clapping:

I used to take Ambien and it never hit me like it would everybody else. My doctor has me on cyproheptadine now which is working well. I can basically get my hands on any pills I want from him due to head trauma/broken lower back a few years ago as the result of a car accident.

No, I don't abuse it. He has always asked if I need anything for pain, and I decline because I don't.

Do a Google search for "second sleep" (in quotes).

Seems that in the past, most people woke up in the middle of the night, like you. They just stayed awake for a couple of hours, reading, talking or screwing, and then went back to sleep. Apparently, 8 hours of unbroken sleep is an idea that is only a couple of hundred years old. Before cheap interior lighting, people went to bed earlier, woke up for a couple of hours, and went back to bed until morning.

That same sleep pattern might be something you could try, instead of drugs.

I take two tbl. spoons of almond butter (a good health food store will have it) before bed... and I get a real good nites sleep!!

Thanks for the replies on this. The Benedryl seems to do the trick as I've been able to get some of the best sleep I've had in months. I'm hoping if I can get my pattern regulated again, I'll be able to stop taking anything.

Scarfing down some turkey really helps me sleep well. I don't know why....Hmm wonder if it has a natural sleep aid in it. LOL
