what is the ideal age to start taking AAS? Is 21 to young? Why? is there any evidence or scientific studies to solidify this?

I am 21 and thinking twice about using AAS until im older but I really want my blood to rage :coffee:

Yes there is a scientific reason. From puberty to about 25-26 your hormones are up-regulating in your endrocrine system. Aka your blood is raging as you put it. So after about 26 your endocrine system start's to down regulate hormones. And then you aren't "raging" as much as you were when you were younger. So it is unwise to use AAS if you already have high androgen's circulating in your blood.

I don't feel like its raging now, not as much as when I was 18. should I get my test levels checked and would it be dumb for me to do a test cycle at 21? could I do permanent damage to myself?

I know plenty of guys who started young. Everyone on here is very against it but I bet a lot of them started young. I did my first one at 22 and I'm perfectly fine. I know guys who started much young and they're fine. Sure there are risks but there are also risks when you're older. Bet I get negged for this

My friendly advice: if you are training less than 3 years, not committed to this lifestyle, skipping workouts, eating poorly, don't plan to train in the future (close and distant), don't want to use AAS for next X number of years, think that you can do 1 or 2 and just stop, not ready to pin a whole lot, than don't even start.

I have been training for about five years on and of the first to I was a college athlete and didn't hit the gym as much as I wanted the past 2 years I have been very dedicated I have missed very few workouts excluding when I tore my acl I was down for 2.5 months my diet isn't perfect but it really good. My mom has been a nutrionist and personal fitness trainer for 17 yrs. so she really never let me eat slop and doesn't buy it.

never thought about that but good point. You might do one cycle then get "addicted" and end up using gear for a long time. Is that what you meant Wolf?

Kind of like why you never use cocaine. Cause you know you can't do just one line.

Yes you can.

It's more along the lines that anybody committed enough to make the diet and time sacrifices to lift consistently to get huge, probably won't be able to just quit cold turkey after you've seen such huge physique changes while on AAS.

To me lifting is sort of a lifestyle and hobby I look forward to getting in the gym M W F are my favorite days of the week, and maybee I will get addicted but I don't have an addictive personality and have quit other things that are considered more addicting, I just want that animalistic rage, I think that's gonna be more addicting then the gains I am happy with my physique as it is, any gains are a kicker I really just don't wanna Harm my natural test production and have to take gear and Viagra when I'm 30 to get a hard on

I would go get tested first just to see where you are. If you consider doing AAS in the future you will have a baseline to go off of.

Better safe than sorry.

I didn't do my first cycle until I was 30.

Lifted natty for 13 years before touching anything.

Big true! Everyone I know all said "nah man ill just do one cycle and look sick". Well theyve all done a lot more then just the one cycle. No one just does one cycle. You get all these amazing gains. Then you lose a tiny bit or gains come slower. You get frustrated and want more. Its always a matter of time before you cave in and gear up. Like they said up above. If you really don't want to do multiple cycles then I don't think using it would be wise.

Just my thoughts. Goodluck with whatever you choose.

If you are planning to never come off and cruise/blast for ever or blast then do TRT for ever, then start as young as 13

I started as a teen, didn't know wtf I was doing, took a few years away from them then started again in my 20's. Lifting to me only comes 2nd to my family.

My opinion no less than 30 years old. But we all know if someone is curious and really wants to try it, they will.
It's like telling your kid not to smoke pot, think they will listen???... not a chance!!

That being said at 21 at least do yourself a favor and research it. Not just for a day soak that info up for months. The more research you do the better for yourself. Ask yourself what will happen if you lose your connection a couple cycle's in? Weightlifting will become a chore without the sauce and your girlfriend will be looking for a cock that stands up boy! This is a life commitment for most people

Hey bro.

I started at the young age of 20, ran a test cycle. Got off went to the docs i was fine in all areas. Then when i turned 22 i did the same thing, then at 23 included tren. I myself think 2 cycles a year is fine. Just dont abuse it and depend on them to give you gains. Its diet and exercise, then a little juice to give you a boost.

Didn't touch PH till 26, that other stuff everyone talks about till 28. Lol.

When we talk about "the lifestyle" it goes to not just "eating clean" or lifting recreationally - its learning what your body responds to and knowing what you can modify in your diet & lifting to get the results you want, and further, investing the time to let your body accommodate the results. I guess to that point, there's no rush to get into a cycle just because you're a certain age or just because you can get ahold of this or that compound. Getting a solid understanding of fine tuning diet & training is what will be the foundation that any cycle is only going to supplement.

i started at 30, after going from 135lbs to 200 naturally over 12 years

I've read through many topics about this and I'm pretty sure it was this forum that I read, even though the guy was against it, he had never seen someone drastically change as much as someone around there twenties using AAS.

time on = time off if you want to cheat that rule its 6 weeks off really but i wouldn't cheat with it

Bad advice.

It's when your bloodwork shows you've recovered.

Your statement is a blanket statement and doesn't apply to everyone. Some recover quicker than others and the factors that go into that are many.

ya I'm making an appointment with my doctor to get some bloodwork done, and I'm gonna ask if they will monitor it(they may not)
