does anyone have any experience with the anabolic diet if so i would greatly appreciate some feedback as im planning well ahead into my bulking stage and am looking at the 3500calories a day diet?

thanks lads

what is the anabolic diet?... i had to google it

sounds like a pretty generic lifters diet. carb cycling more or less seemed to be the jist of it which is nothing special really and doesnt have anything to to with horomones as far as i would think.

the food doesn't turn into steroids in your body

It's not carb cycling, it's cyclic ketosis. I wouldn't really consider them to be the same thing.

In my experience it will really help with your hunger levels. You'll look flat during the week but when you eat the carbs you'll fill up a lot.

i would post the link to the website that stated "carb cycling" but as i stated previously I never heard of it and don't give a fuck enough to get into it. but i do enough to state that. :gayfight:

Cyclic ketosis is indeed carb cycling. Some days you're on, some days you're not. I call that a cycle.

To the OP, there are a variety of ways to do this. You can do high and low days, you can do low all week, then a carbup - that method has been perfected by L. Mcdonald: UD2.0

I guess I always viewed "carb cycling" (at least in this context) as varying your carb intake according to your training days - you carb up on days you train and avoid them on days you don't train.

IIRC the Anabolic Diet is more like UD2.0 in that you eat very few carbs for 5 days then do a refeed for 2 days.

The main thing about the AD is that you have to eat your fats, especially animal fats. Saturated fats and cholesterol are important on this diet.

i have a sample 1500 calorie a day diet and a 3500 calorie a day diet, would the low calorie be for cutting an the high calorie be for bulking?

Your caloric needs are going to depend on your weight and lean body mass. But in general the high calories are for bulking and the low calories are for cutting.

:roflmao: Congrats!

I should have added something here:
varying your carb intake according to your training days - you carb up on days you train and avoid them on days you don't train.

This has been referred to as targeted ketogenic dieting (TKD)

TKD is a form of CKD. So you're both right.

built, can you actually reach ketosis if you eat carbs every other or every 3rd day? i was under the impression that it took a bit longer.

when I go on a cycle my calores go up to around 6000-7000 with hight protein, mod carb, and mod fat. Still body fat stays under 16%

You bet you can. Healthy normal people go into ketosis daily, when they sleep.

I can eat a bagel in the AM, go for a hike, and come home in ketosis. I've done it.
